The s'more truffle was filled with a thick, delicious marshmallow center. The coconut truffle was full of flaked coconut. Each taste of these truffles were sinfully good. I have never tasted truffles that were filled in the center with the main ingredients. A lot are mixed in or creamed, not these. They made me a believer. Just plain delicious!

In the past, water was available in small jars, but now it's set up in a larger dispenser. After ordering ice cream, we went to grab some water, but it had run out. I let the staff member in front know, and she kindly explained that they were out, which I completely understood. However, another staff member suddenly commented that there was no water and that if I wanted some, I should buy and pay for it. It was a bit surprising--not because of the policy, but because of the tone, which came across as a bit harsh. Maybe she was just having a bad day, which I can understand, but the delivery didn't feel very welcoming. I want to emphasize that I have no issue paying for water at all; in fact, I planned to go back to the car after ice cream to get water since we parked nearby. It was just the way it was said that didn't sit well. I didn't say anything at the moment since I understand everyone can have off days, but I do think consistency in how customers are spoken to is important--others might not take that tone as lightly. When I sat down, another staff member came over and offered my family water. If you happen to read this--thank you. Your kindness really meant a lot to us. Ma Petite Cherie produces exceptional baked goods in the French tradition, not too sugary and not too heavy. Their baked goods look exactly like the ones I enjoyed every day when I lived in Europe. More importantly, they TASTE exactly the same, fluffy, buttery layers with just a hint of sweetness. If your taste runs to Krispy Kremes, sticky buns, and Twinkies, you may not appreciate Ma Petite Cherie's restraint when it comes to the use of sugar. However, if you enjoy quality baked goods that DO justice to the fine art of French cuisine, then you definitely should stop by MPC's cute little booth at the the Brentwood Farmer's Market.

I will definitely buy it again next week at market! Overall, the flourless chocolate cake won me over. Give them a try. It's sure better than the overrated Dore bakery (see my other review for that bakery).
