I've gotten my hair cut here several times and have great experiences each time. Today I decided to venture out and get an eyelash extensions consultation. Now, I'm brand new to extensions and know nothing. I thought that a consultation would be looking at the options and seeing which would be better for my eye shape and skin/lash condition. Well, I thought wrong, and maybe that's my fault, which I am honest about. But she showed me 1 picture and quickly discussed all the options. When she did look at my lashes she just mentioned the shaking. Then told me to go look at pictures online and then make another consultation. Again, maybe this is my fault for expecting too much. Just want others to know if they make a consultation. Don't go here if you know nothing. I will be going somewhere else for my eyelashes. read more

New to Denison and was looking for a salon I could use permanently. Found Bella and checked out their site and looked good. And prices looked really reasonable. I used Heather for a haircut. she listed to what I wanted. Gave me a couple options and her advice. And it turned out great!! Extremely disappointing: I went to get my Nexgen nails done and was happy with the results until I started cleaning my house. Once my hands were wet I noticed some lifting along the nail beds. A short time later the the acrylic came off a couple of nails. I called right away and was told to come in to get the nail fixed. I explained that they were all lifting and was told to come in the following day to show them my nails. I returned the next day and showed the owner and her office manager. They said because I had paid with a gift card where they only got a percentage of what I paid using a gift card so they would only offer me a gift certificate for their facility. I explained that I did not want to use their services again, I just wanted my money back. I was told there was nothing more they could do for me. Such a waste of time and money. read more

I did not come here myself but sent my daughter here with her grandma for a girls date. My mom got her eyebrows done and got a cut and color and my daughter got a trim. They charged $50 to cut and inch off her hair and add some face framing layers and my mom is not happy with her hair. She made and appointment and they only had one girl working to do both cuts, color & brows. In my opinion this place is over priced and the work they put out did not reflect that price point. I'll send them to my hair girl next time. read more

Tried them out today for the first time. The new location is nice and easy to get to - used the online booking and found it easy an convenient. Paul was my therapist and talked through my wants and needs and kept me informed as we went through the session. He was able to deliver good pressure and kept checking in on whether it was to much or not enough. read more

Enjoyed an amazing soak in their hydrotherapy tub and it was total bliss! My friend got a facial and was on cloud nine! I would not recommend this business, I had several bad experiences with the management and did not return for future services. They tried to work with me and my complaints but failed miserably, having me speak to a new hire to voice my concerns instead of management. I went for a haircut and brow wax and met with Wendy. It was the last appt of the day and nobody was at the place besides her and a receptionist. She was not very friendly and seemed like she just wanted to go home, barely spoke two words. The haircut was not so great :( and she didnt even know she was supposed to do the brow wax until i asked her! Will not go back, there are better stylists out there. read more

I have had two really great experiences at Bella Fontana Spa. I took my daughter there to have her hair done for prom last year. It was beautiful and they did just what my daughter wanted. She really felt like a princess. I have taken classes there and had a great time. Fun and stress-free. Belly dancing is something everyone should try! I have been to this spa twice. The first time was two years ago for a couples massage which my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed and would do again. The spa pedicure that I had today, not so much. It did not in any way live up to the relaxing spa experience I was expecting. For one thing, the description of the service stated that I would get a "clay masque or dry skin treatment" which, to my knowledge, I did not get unless we're counting a little lotion as a dry skin treatment...really???? The massage chair was a one trick pony that seemed to stay in one spot on my back and the nail technician did not provide any instruction on how to change it. It's really no time to ask for massage chair lessons while someone is digging an ingrown corner out of one of your toenails. Additionally, one of the hair salon girls came in and turned the radio on to some rock station at a significant volume...not exactly the relaxing spa ambiance I was expecting. Pretty sure the experience is supposed to be about me, not them! The bottom line is you can get the exact same service for half the price at any other nail salon in town. If Bella Fontana wants my pedicure business, you need to step up your game in the atmosphere/spa experience/ambiance department...otherwise, I'd rather pay $25 for the exact same thing I got today. read more

I came in to get my hair dyed lavender and to have the dark areas bleached before the lavender. I girl bleached my hair 3 times and refused to bleach the dark under the back, saying it would fall out. Then NO Lavender was ever put in. I walked out with grey hair and no color. The haircut was fine. I was there for over 4 hours. I spent $183.00 with the tip for a haircut and grey hair. I was about to cry it was so bad, so I just paid and left. I will be reviewing Bella Fontana online, so other people do not have to go through this Horrific experience. read more

BUYER BEWARE. Do not assume that you will receive what is listed as part of the service! I was a first time visitor and purchased the signature facial. I am very disappointed that I did not get what I paid for. The service description clearly states that it comes with a scalp massage and an intense face and neck massage. I got none of those things. It wasn't until the very end that I realized she was done and did not massage my scalp, face or neck. When I asked her about it, she said that I should have told her. I don't think it is a reasonable expectation for a first time visitor to have to ask for a service that is listed in the description. If a massage is not included in the signature facial, it should not be listed in the description. read more

I went for permanent makeup. I will not go back. The permanent makeup (tattoo) fell off after 2 days. Went back for a touch up and the same thing happened again. I went to an experienced professional and had to pay again but it was worth it, It didn't fall off. Permanent makeup is not a process. If it is done right the first time with the right equipment then it is permanent....as it is supposed to be. Don't be out double the money for two people to do it. read more

Bought Spa Week gift card for my wife for $50 dollars. She went to Bella Fontana Day Spa and got her nails done, they were falling off by that evening. She went back to get it fixed the next day but the only girl that is available is the one that ruined her nails to begin with. She asked for a refund and they refused because they don't make enough money off of the gift card. My wife talked to the owner and she said that she doesn't deal with that kind of stuff.... it is her managers job. Lol... owner has no backbone. They offered her a gift card for a facial or a massage. Wife refused because of the terrible service. Would rather loose $50 than go back there. Lesson learned.... never go to Bella Fontana in ShermanTexas. What a shame. read more

Bella Fontana has new owners and they have made the spa so very warm and inviting! I got my nails done yesterday with the NexGen method of dipping. I love them! Hayleigh was my nail tech and she did a fabulous job! I can't wait to go back and let Gemma give me a body scrub and detox treatment. The new owners, Ben and Nikki Hunter, are so wonderful! I went to Bella Fontana spa today for the first time and was dissappointed. I have had many facials and never once have they used gloves but today the esthetician used gloves for my entire facial! It was the most uncomfortable and non-relaxing facial I have ever had. I have had them use gloves during extractions, which is totally understandable, but never for cleansing and massaging the face. I could feel the rubbing of the gloves on my skin the entire time and it was incredibly uncomfortable. I feel like the experience would have been 4 stars if she wouldn't have used gloves the entire time. I will definitely not be returning and would not recommend this place to my friends. I think you should be told ahead of time that they will be wearing gloves so you can decide whether or not you want to pay for that experience. Very disappointing. read more
