There's still some visible swelling in the "after" photo, but I can already tell that my lips are going to look amazing after they settle. So, I was giving the alternative to try jeuveau. I should have known better because of how I was asking the PA questions and she was very skeptical and hesitant with her answers that I should not have done it. But I tried it anyway thinking maybe it could be better. Afterwards, I talked to my sister who stated that it sounded really weird that Botox, of all things, would be on "backorder" and that she felt that I was pretty much bamboozled by them trying to push a new product because of the almighty dollar. As soon as she said it, I felt the same!! I was also told this was going to work faster than even the Botox. And it has done absolutely nothing!! I was able to see results within hours from Botox but not with this stuff. Nothing!! I don't suggest it. I'm 50 and only do Botox for the crease between my eyes. So, I have lost out on $165 for something that was suggested by the PA with her not even really knowing the effects of it because she even said she hasn't used it and that one's on me. Lesson learned. 3 stars bc I seriously feel now that I was nothing but a simple sale and now I'm stuck for 3 months of not being able to actually get Botox. Needless to say, the crease between my eyes seems to be more pissed off at this point. Maria, medical assistant, is awesomeness though!!! So 5 STARS for her!!! I was informed to bring white socks in order to walk on the salt and to wear comfortable clothing. She gave me the address and was able to reschedule my appointment once I found out that the location was a bit of a distance from my home and my work. The actual Salt Room is located in the residence of the owner. While that did not make me uncomfortable, it may be a consideration for others. The owner is a warm, delightful and knowledgeable woman who created her breathing spa after personally benefiting from salt therapy. The location is clean and well maintained. The owner was able to give me information about salt therapy and it's benefits while making no guarantees. I was shown to a small area where I was able to take off my shoes and put on my white socks. I had to leave my electronics and personal items outside of the room. Inside the salt room, there are about 6 zero gravity chairs. I was given a warm, comfortable blanket and my chair was reclined so that I was laying back comfortably. My session was very relaxing, and I may have fallen asleep. At the end of the session, the owner came in and asked me about my experience. While I was putting my shoes on and gathering my personal items, she shared some session packages that will allow you to save money on visits. There is even a senior citizen price. I enjoyed this experience, although I don't think that I will return simply due to the distance, I would need to travel from my home or work.

You go into a relaxing dimly lit room where the floor is made up entirely of himalayan rock salt, then you will relax on a zero gravity recliner and a blanket (temperature in the room is around 66 F for best absorption of the salt. They then pipe in finely ground salt for inhalation while you relax and reap the benefits. They also sell salt inhalers (YAY) and salt lamps, so I'm going to be back to buy one of each once they have them back in stock (they are very popular, so they sell out quickly). The owner is very nice and explained how she started the spa after trouble with COPD and how the salt has helped her recover from that.
