It is very much a boys studio with comics and mexican wrestling masks on the walls and MF Doom playing gently in the background. The main tattoo artist Marcus is not the chattiest guy in the world but I'm completely in love with both tattoos he's done. The shop is refreshingly unpretentious and you'll find all sorts of locals rolling through here, with them also having a body piercing service. Though they may lack the heavyweight reputation, the quality this tucked away studio puts out is more than deserving. I wholeheartedly recommend.

Admitted first time was 20 mins before close but yesterday we got there an hour before close and the 2 lazy girls behind the counter were too busy vaping INDOORS behind the counter to even want to speak to us properly. It's such a shame because this was the place that me and my family have always had our piercings done for over 10 years and we all recommended the place highly to my wife. Maybe it's a staffing issue these days because the customer service used to be amazing there but now nonexistent.

I even tried to walk-in on different days hoping for better service. Went there for piercings but the employees at the front desk seemed more interested in smoking and chatting with each other. I walked up and down Rye Street for a while until I realised the studio was in the same building as a hair salon... I walked through the salon, whilst having some weird looks pointed my way. Not the most comfortable situations I've been in! I eventually got to the reception desk (after being swept up in hair) and asked about having a tattoo quote. The guy I originally spoke to disappeared and a new male appeared. I enquired about my two potential tattoo designs. I had one smaller than the other and was quoted £80 for the smaller and £90 for the much larger (much much larger). I won't lie I felt slightly cheated by the quotes. I then asked how it worked with booking and as to whether I could book on the phone. I felt like I was being treated like a child, and had asked for a lolly pop without my parents acceptance for the first time... I was sniggered at and told that if I wanted to book i'd have to come back and book an appointment and pay a deposit. Fair doos but don't laugh at me. In honesty, I felt uncomfortable, disregarded and put down by the whole experience. I haven't had the full experience but I don't think I'd opt to either.
