So walked in to switch over to the price matching plan of its competitor. I am switching from Rogers to Fido and I have to say its a simple and a slightly painful process due to an issue arise with the massive porting today. So I walked in and there were 3 people in front of me. The Fido guy was very helpful. When it was my turn, I had my plan set up very quick and the number got ported right away, within 2 mins. Not bad. I walked out the door - data working, texting working. Only issue I can't call out and I can't receive call. I thought I will wait a bit to see if it resolves itself. Nope. I ended up calling Fido directly and they had to reset my phone. This has nothing to do with the Arbutus Fido. Just happen and what are the odds, my phone plan porting got hanged in between. Other than that everything is great Nice clean store. Rogers is right beside it but again they are the same company.

Today they called to say the phone was ready. We did not have to wait two hours or be told to "go have a coffee and come back in a while..." BUT, we were given our phone back with zero battery charged. Thank you. How the hell do we even know if the phone is really fixed with a dead battery (which of course they received fully charged). We asked that they charge the phone while we go eat lunch. They reluctantly complied, but not before warning us that they are "not responsible if it gets stolen"--off their own counter behind the cash ? That would really be so perfect. What a dreadful place. Don't get your phone from Wireless Wave okay? Addendum: August 1st. The phone died again! The policy is that it has to die three times before they give you a new phone. Here's the situation: My $55/month plan was increased to $60 without my consent. I received no real notice or option to opt-out, just a generic statement buried in my bill. When I reached out to chat with a live agent, I was met with scripted, copy-pasted responses that showed zero accountability or care. I made repeated requests to speak with a loyalty representative or manager -- all were ignored or deflected. Instead of actually assisting me, I was pushed toward a more expensive plan I didn't ask for, offering 160GB when I only use a fraction of that. My request was clear: give me a reasonable plan under $40, or I'm walking away. Their response? "Call the support line if you're not happy." No follow-through. No effort to keep a loyal customer. Just cold, robotic indifference. If this is how Rogers treats paying customers, it's no wonder people are switching to better, more transparent providers like Freedom, Fido, or Telus. Maybe this one is too central, as I do not find many deals, as probably everybody who lives here just scoops up things once they come out. I will say that the staff was very friendly and helpful in locating a game for me, and adjusting prices as they were aware of the change in the flyer, and they had to manually do it as the computer was ringing in another price.

Came by to pick up some stuff…read more Parking here is pretty atrocious. The nearest legal spot I could find during the day was some 3 blocks W of here. There aren't too many alternative locations in this part of the city though, short of going downtown. The interior looks modern, but there is no doubt that the building is old and crumbling. Their front door is pretty ghetto. The other thing that threw me off is that customers have to be buzzed in. I thought the store was closed initially. Inside there are the typical displays for cell phone related stuff. Staff were friendly and chatty. I was in and out in minutes.
