I settled on Rheinischer Sauerbraten mit Apfelkompott und Kartoffelkloß (Sauerbraten with apple compote and potato dumpling.) The sauerbraten was expertly prepared where you could cut it with a fork. The Kartoffelkloß was dense yet flavorful and paired perfectly with the gravy. The Apfelkompott was chunky and well seasoned with a cranberry garnish and showed the level of care and respect this restaurant had for its traditional dishes. Visiting Germany?
