It is a beautiful place and just right for smallish weddings and also great for wedding pictures. The surrounding grounds have ponds, trees, arbors and animals. The wedding was nice, but they had a long-winded Jesus freak preacher that wasn't really necessary, but it is her first wedding and i guess he's from their church. Her wedding planner was a little weird too. No pic, multiple first dances and not just for the bride and groom, but the mothers, farthers and brothers. Then, at the end, they asked everyone to go outside so the bride and groom could have a private dance. But how private could it have been with the photographers still there taking pics and the dj playing the music? Well, i give the venue 5 stars anyway, just because i like the place and the owner i meet, is a nice guy. No, i didn't get any pics. When i had the chance, i forgot.

My wife and I (as well as our two college-aged sons) attended a wedding reception in New Boston,…read moreand DJ Calvin had all the young folks (and some of the older ones) out of their seats!! He spun something for everyone: oldheads, '80s & '90s hip-hop, country (including Randy Travis and King George!), and recent tunes. Everyone had a blast! Even I got out on the floor, and I NEVER do that!! Two things we really loved: 1.) he got out on the dance floor with everyone, and talked to people, interacting, taking suggestions, and encouraging people to get out and move. That was awesome! 2.) when he did the obligatory "longest marriage" dance, he didn't make anyone leave the dance floor, he just went around and asked couples how long they had been married. It was fun to keep dancing with my wife, even though we haven't been married the longest. DJ Calvin is the best DJ we've experienced since my own wedding 25 years ago!!

I explained it was a small casual party and I wasn't on time crunch as most are. They emailed me options, I selected, signed contract, and it was done. They texted me on way to my home, we're super helpful in setup. Then about hour before our discussed pickup time they texted again and said they were on their way. Very honest and sincere folks to deal with. Compared to their competitors their prices were very reasonable.

I am expecting 250 guests and even after 8 emails back and forth, each asking if they could provide space for 250 guests and space for a dance floor, I never received a straight answer. All I got was "you just have to come see it for yourself to understand." That being said, the price would've been right as would've been the location so I was unhappy but gave 3 stars as I can't review on anything other than poor communication.
