Being from the far east, I tend not to really care for Britishized (or Americanized) Chinese food. And I find out this way where I live, it tends to be Chinese cooks that dumb down their food in order to get an extra sale.
Beijing is operated by Malaysians, so folks who are near and dear to my heart. And the food here is a reflection of their past. There are dishes you wouldn't find in Beijing - like Nasi Goreng, and Satay. They're a part of a chain that stretches from Guildford to Addlestone.
When we do take away, we usually get the Nasi Goreng, the shredded beef and some measure of vegetables. But I've also been here for lunch too. I'd have to say that their food is a-ok. It would be 4 stars if I wasn't as picky about the fact that the people who run the place are authentically Malaysian, but really on the Malaysian inspired dishes are really worth a higher mark, but the rest is just ok.
