I ordered the Parthenon Teller, which is a ton of food but all of it was delicious. This includes the liver which I hadn't noticed until I bit into it! All the meats were cooked just right, so nothing was tough or dried out. The tzatziki was also very good, as was the accompanying salad. I definitely ate way too much but it was well worth it! The shot of ouzo at the end was the perfect finale.

Rio Grande is a local chain of grille houses…read more The Blankenese restaurant has friendly and super efficient staff, but does not feel like a place to spend much time after having had one's fill. The main room feels cramped, and seating is mostly on high tables and high chairs. Food quality is decent at the affordable lunch rate (weekly changing menu that can be viewed on the website; most dishes currently at €7,50), but doesn't hold up to the much higher dinner prices. Ultimately Rio Grande feels like a wannabe Block House, but it isn't as comfortable, nor is the food served on the same level of competence.
