Amazing place! This is apparently the oldest beer shop in the world, it has excited more than 31 years and started out with 200 beers, now there's more than 400! Lovely little back yard with a bit of sun and the jazz playing from the shop. The owner is super friendly and informative, and beer can apparently be shipped all over the world. I'm still in shock. We went here the first night and the bill was 28 Eros for 8 beers. Tonite it was 98 eros. Totally ripped us off. I'm thinking because we were American. Got a great vibe the first time that's why we came back. 19 Eros a beer the second time. read more

I was visiting a brewery when my buddy and I met a nice couple from Alaska who recommended this place to us. We are glad we took their advice. It is a little away from the center of town so we had the place to the two of us and some locals who stopped in for a drink. They have a huge selection of beer to buy and drink on sight. I was so happy I had a box shipped home so share with my beer family. It is pricey but you can some bottles here you can get state side and it it saves you from trying to carry it in your luggage. My box made it state side with no problems until my friend placed it in my garage. I only lost 3 out of 48 bottles so not bad. We had the famous Belgium fries to go with out drinks and they do them well here. Belgium's do fries unlike any one I know. read more

Nice little spot with an impressive beer selection and cozy seating in the back for drinks. We ordered a Kwak and a Gulden Draak, both which were very tasty and served in their appropriate glasses. Waiter (manager?) was very friendly and spoke great English. Although we did not buy any beer to go, they looked to have a large selection and we were told that delivery is available for both Poland and the U.S (where we are from). Overall, a nice quiet place for buying and drinking beer. read more

This is a part beer shop, part restaurant/bar. They serve the "best beer in the world" -- Westvelen. Mea Culpa is also very good. The people were incredibly nice. The fries were great. Has a patio. Seems like a great place to go over the summer. read more

This is an amazing beer shop with a seating area in the back, where you can try 1 before buying a handful, or even just treat as a bar and leave empty handed. Their house beer is called 'Mea Culpa' and is a very nice drink, served in possibly the most awesome shaped beer glass I have ever had the pleasure of supping from. I also tried some kind of tea beer, which was very drinkable too. There is a small outside area too and I think there might even be some nibbles on offer. One solitary note of caution - closes at 9pm...it is, after all, a shop, lest we forget (which is easily done). read more

If you have time do a bit of research, a lot of supermarkets have improved their beer selections recently and are much cheaper. Don't bother with the Trappists (all available in the supermarkets) except Westvleteren (if you want to pay 15euros per bottle) or maybe aged Chimay. But... if you want something a bit difficult to find (in Brussels) then yes, use it as the selection is fantastic, the staff knowledgable and you'll walk away with some great beer. read more

Absolutely the best beer shop in Brussels, maybe the world!? The house beer Mea Culpa is very nice, and the glass served in is amazing and unique. The fries and other bites are excellent, and this is a city known for its fries. The operator, Michael, is knowledgeable and not stuffy or snobby. He is also and expert at packing the beers and glasses so as not to break on an airplane- thanks Michael! Hope to get back there soon! read more

Pretty good place with wide selection of beers, owner is very knowledgeable and will point you in right direction. If prices were oh 30% lower each bottle I would have loved to purchase a 20 bottle variety bundle for sampling and "research". Was looking for a variety of beers to try for a flat price ended up only trying 4 different whole bottles because price. read more
