I chose to go on my vacation/holiday during my 38th birthday, and much to my surprise, Hazel made me a gift by hand. It was VERY sweet! The guesthouse is very easy to get to from any area in town, smartly appointed, and very easy to park at. There is off-street parking, in fact. You'd be very wise to skip overpriced, soulless places like Travelodge or the Hilton. Keep in mind, that I am here in the middle of winter, and that it is incredibly cosy! Forget the single ridiculous review! These guys are awesome!!! Room Tip: I'm in room 1, and it has a great view over Forfar Road and toward the Sidlaws.

Would have given this a 5 except that the bed had seen better days. The gentleman ("small Scott", as he referred to himself) is very professional, personable with great hospitality skills. The man checking us in was a bit brusque and questioned the reason for us asking for a fridge and tried to give us some b/s about smaller towns in Scotland not having them in hotel rooms. He also tried the hard sell for brekkie. Dude ... please ... we are experienced (crusty) travellers who have travelled throughout Scotland. Regardless, this is well-run property. No complaints!

There is a nice park next to it as well. Rooms are huge!! By UK standards with king size bed ( at least in out room). The rooms are a bit dated, but not in a bad way. They were clean and neat. The have a nice bar and lounge room where I sit writing this review, but the real gem is the out door patio and garden. Absolutely beautiful, in fortunately is has been raining part of the day and we are unable to enjoy them. But the advertise a beer garden, so even if you are not staying here I would say it is worth a visit and a pint on a fine summer night

She worked the breakfast shift and when found out the dinner manager had called out she stayed to make sure our experience was pleasant. All the service staff was exceptional. The food was fresh, albeit bland (par for scottish food) but they take great care in the presentation of the food which is impressive.

I would rate it as similar to or even a bit better than Travelodge. Rooms are all en-suite and well-appointed, the beds are comfortable too. There is a good-size television, a couple of comfy armchairs, a hair-dryer, wardrobe, free Wi-Fi and of course tea and coffee-making facilities. The bathroom has a bath and a good hot shower, and everything is in good condition throughout. The breakfast is actually served in a different building, and is a DIY Continental buffet affair with toast, croissants, scones, cereal etc. But it's fine and you can eat as much as you want. If you're looking for budget accommodation in Scone, you are basically limited to either the selection of B&B's on the way out of Perth (of which there are many), or go past Scone a similar distance in the other direction and stay at the Skylodge. I think for the price, this place is hard to beat.

Situated in a RAF airfield & home to small planes & pilots alike, the buildings are more like a barracks w/ thinnish walls, basic metal frame single beds & stripped down bathroom..... but that doesn't mean we were roughing it by any means It provided a warm refuge from the rain, the beds were comfy, the neighbors were quiet ( I think we all appreciated each other's situation ) TV with full channel lineup - including ITV3 (my fav British Mystery channel!) and FREE WiFi! Best part was discovering the multitude of adorable bunnies romping & frolicking & running all about, chasing each other - just adorable! Happy discovery!

The lounge is warm and inviting with a wood fire burning and lots of comfortable chairs to relax in. We ate in the bar, there is also a restaurant, great choice of food which was excellent. Again service was very good. Our bedroom was amazing! The king bed was very comfortable, the room spacious and beautifully decorated with an en-suite bathroom. I would absolutely recommend the Bein Inn Hotel. It is charming and welcoming, fabulous service and great food, perfect for everyone! Will definitely be returning. High level of cleanliness and even on a wednesday at 1pm there were a fair few tables full. We were seated and shown the menu, ordered a drink and the specials were explained with enthusiasm. We ordered and mentioned that we had a voucher and this was dealt with without issue. Main course arrived within 15 minutes and was piping hot, well presented and delicious. Would absolutely recommend as the food was excellent, service excellent and the atmosphere was also excellent

My boyfriend and I stayed here one of the two nights we were in Perth for my birthday and it was nice enough. An older building, it could use a bit of an update, but was completely jammed packed with tour bus patrons and wedding parties. Our room was cozy, and the window opened up all the way, which was nice as the weather in Perth was a dream compared to what we had been used to in Glasgow. There is an old lift in the hotel, which we avoided, but took the stairs to get to and from our room. There is a workout area, that caters to the people staying at the hotel, but also, they offer memberships to people who just want to work out. Most of the equipment was probably made before I was born, but it got the job done. They also have an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, which we also used. It was nice to be out all day, then come back, workout and sit in the sauna to relax. Breakfast left a bit to be desired. By the time we came down for breakfast, the tour bus worth of people had cleared the place out and left the poor staff spinning in confusion of what had just happened. There was nothing left to eat, and we had to wait a bit for more stuff to be brought out. The fry up was tasty. All in all, it seems like most hotels in the downtown Perth area are a bit tired and in need of a good refurb, but that's also what made this trip memorable and enjoyable. It's all in the company you're in, I suppose, and his company always makes my life that much better.

Just a 5 minute walk from the Overgate and Wellgate shopping centres and 10 minutes from the RSS Discovery, it's a great location for both shopping and being a tourist in Dundee. Due to the central location, it doesn't have its own hotel car park but it's connected to level 3 of the Gellatly Street multi-storey by a footbridge from reception which offers parking at £8 for 24 hours. Our room was nice. Modern and clean, which is all you really need from a hotel room. I was slightly disappointed with the view - a brick wall and the footbridge to the car park - but I suppose not everyone can get the stunning view over the Tay. Breakfast was actually quite good, considering it's a buffet in a budget hotel. A full English is available, as well as a continental breakfast. The orange juice was a bit disappointing and watery though. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner. We waited over 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive and the restaurant was empty, but it was actually really nice. I opted for the cod and wedges which were pretty good, considering it's a hotel bar. If we're in Dundee again, I would definitely consider this hotel again. Great location and nice rooms.

It had a good sized bathroom with a well-powered shower. The work desk was excellent, with USB sockets for charging technology, plus a flat-screen TV and nice views over Dundee. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet consisted of some hot items (sausage, baked beans and scrambled eggs) plus continental items and a good variety of hot drinks. The Wi-Fi in the hotel was free, but a little hit and miss. I resorted to using 4G instead -- I'm with EE and there was a good signal throughout the hotel. Overall, for the price this was a bargain and I'd definitely stay here again!
