Ok so this gym is extremely expensive however it is a lovely gym (though I'm sure you can find the same for less money). You get a complimentary towel on entry and it has a lovely cafe in it. There's a workout room, a weights room, its own running machine darkened room, a spinning room, 3 squash courts, a swimming pool with hot beds, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, studio and badminton court. As well as sun beds, crèche, beauty parlour and its own conference facilities. I thought that this gym had everything I needed. I found the people very friendly and helpful. The price was also very good and I would recommend this gym to anyone. Most of the members are very helpful when you need advice. It doesn't get too busy when I am there so I find this a great gym. read more

The Beechdown is a dirty mismanaged operation. Generally the staff are rather helpful but I feel the management take its members for granted and are shocked if we voice concern for the poor state and cleanliness of the facilities. My Family and I have been member's for sometime and not sure what they are spending our membership fee's on apart from money making facilities ie the over priced brassiere which is only really frequented by the management. The changing rooms are disgusting , the equipment needs a good clean and quite often does not work correctly, the general ambiance of the club is in desperate need of a tidy up. I am not sure if the club is in financial difficulty but it would explain the state of the club and the directors attitude. If you read the other reviews on the various websites about the gym they all say the same Dirty, smelly, bad location, faulty towers I feel this encompasses how I feel too. My family and I will be looking for a new gym that does not take for granted its members but actually wants to keep members happy. So people please look elsewhere for a health club that is simply cleaner better managed and uses its membership fees better. read more
