Bee Tin is fantastic, really! If you're on the way to do a Chinatown food trip, make sure never to leave this place out.
Bee Tin Grocery is right on Ongpin st, and is easy to spot, with the colorful sign outside the door and harried Chinese customers going in and out of the grocery .
The place has got about everything you need in Asian cooking. You want some Chinese white wine ? How about some sweet soy sauce? The famous spicy sriracha sauce? They've got it! And they're cheap too! One bottle of sriracha would cost you less than 110PHP when other groceries have it priced at nearly double the price.
Speaking of cooking, you could probably buy the whole contents of a Chinese restaurant from this place, bar the fresh ingredients. Need some noodles? How about some fungus? Leaves for tea? Spices for that indian curry you've been wanting to make but are too lazy to grind? Bee Tin's got it for you.
They've also got Chinese snacks that are commonly found in Aji Ichiban stores around the city, but far cheaper! They've also got stuff that's for the more adventurous palate.
As will all stores in Chinatown, you're better of carrying cash rather than cards, and in small bills so you could pay faster at the cashier. I'd recommend you do a circuit of the whole store first and think about your budget (As compared to taking everything out of the rack and having to return them later on haha). Or better yet, it'd be cool if you already have something in mind to look for, else you might be stuck there for quite some time, mesmerized by all the stuff they have.
