My symptoms were not fully documented, and instead of focusing on my health, the nurse practitioner commented negatively about a single fiber of pet hair on my clothing. This felt unprofessional and discriminatory, as it had nothing to do with my medical needs. While I was there, another patient came in wearing one shoe, with blood on her head and her arm wrapped from an accident. She could barely walk. Instead of helping her, the staff refused to see her and told her to go to the hospital. Watching that made me very concerned for patient safety at this facility. After my visit, I exercised my legal right under HIPAA to request a correction to my record. Instead of addressing my concerns, I received a certified discharge letter telling me I was no longer welcome as a patient. That response felt retaliatory and reinforced my sense that I was not treated with respect or fairness. Patients deserve accurate documentation, professional care, and dignity. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Went next door for eyeglasses waited 3 weeks to get a $400 pair of glasses that had a bubble in the lens. The bubble in the so called technicians head kept her from realizing I want my glasses I paid for them just don't want a bubble in my line of sight. They redid glasses after getting everyone in the office to weigh in on what I SAW AS AN ERROR IN MAKING THE GLASSES. Two weeks later get the eyeglasses only to discover I can't see any better I get a severe headache the glasses the technician assisted in choosing clearly DO NOT FIT MY FACE! Dorothy is determined to bend shape heat the glasses until by God they work FOR HER. I resorted to wearing my old glasses clearly worn out but better than the wreck Dorothy insists are perfect. I call the Alpine Clinic to get my eyes re- checked SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE. Linda tells me she can get me in the end of November I ask if that will be past the time limit for getting my new glasses checked out for mistakes. She checkes on whatever and gives me an appointment for Tuesday October 31 HALLOWEEN I ask Linda at 9:=5 am okay Tuesday 31st Halloween. Unknown to Linda I am driving though a friend is helpful enough to write down the appointment for me hearing me repeat to Linda the date and time. Oak will she call and remind me of course says Linda. Not only did I not get a call but when I got to my appointment Linda informs me I don't have an appointment on this day the 31st of October my appointment is the 21st of November. At this point I know that this whole place is not professional at all. I get back home check the piece of paper my buddy wrote the appointment on for without my asking him to do that and sure enough he wrote Tuesday the 31st 9:45. I knew Linda confirmed it was Halloween how could I mistake that? I didn't Linda pulled a fast one. Okay the 21st comes get eyes checked again the Rd is slightly different so the Doc walks me into the eyeglass side turns me over to Dorothy who again is going to do anything and everything to make the first pair of glasses work FOR HER be damn my opinion. Dorothy advises me the change in Rx is so minute no need to change the lens. I have had enough and ask Dorothy to refund my $400 So I can go get me some proper fitting correctly made glasses. Off she hope to inquire coming back with they will mail me a check. Listen up I paid cash I want cash it's the holiday I've waited 4 months now for my glasses. Dorothy said shed have Carolyn call me. Of course I get no call and I call today only to be informed by Linda Carolyn is out until next Tuesday a week away WTF I ask if anyone else can help me and Linda starts to tell me I've been rude non compliant and did not even give the new Rx a chance! As I attempt to explain to Linda that Dorothy never offered my new Rx not once did she even think of my new Rx Linda decided the truth was too much for her gutless self and hung up on me. Here I am now and my next move will be to city hall for a permit to picket for bad business the Alpine Eye Clinic in Durango Colo. PLEASE JOIN ME and perhaps save another from the callous disregard for their patients.
