While I thought that they only sold cheap plastic storage options, I was actually impressed by the range of things on offer. Everything from rolling storage devices, to shoe racks, pretty patterned boxes etc. They even stock a range of furniture; bookshelves and I even found a cute little side table here. While I eventually decided on the cheap option of a large plastic box type thing that I could put clothes into and then stash away in the actual wardrobe, I was initially sidetracked by these pretty laundry hampers, until I looked at the prices and saw that they were $89.00, which was just ridiculously expensive. A lot of the things in here were a lot pricier than I thought they would have been for what they actually are, just things to store other things in.

They literally destroy us in every single aspect of dining variables. Decorated adorably? All of them. Don't stare at me uncomprehendingly when I say gluten? Def nots. Rock it on killer five star restaurant food presentation? Start expecting it. Actually care about the origin of the ingredients? Mind blown. The Old Woodshop Corner Cafe was a perfect example of what we came to love about NZ eats. The inside is intriguing with bright colors, funky signs and pictures, and if you haven't checked out that bedazzled cat sculpture in my photos, you're missing out. Upon ordering I was expecting to do my usual song n dance about gluten like I have to in the states; instead, they responded with Celiac? Great, we'll prep your food allergen free. My jaw was on the floor guys. Stunned and excited in anticipation of my future noms I did the only rational thing and picked a seat to wait for our meal- the seat nearest the bedazzled cat sculpture mind you. Food came out in good time and was delicious. The husband's was plated like a work of art and I risked my life postponing him diving in so I could snap a picture for you all. You're welcome. Between the epically chill vibes this place gives off, the excellent eats, gf knowledge and competitive prices.. and the cat sculpture.. I'd say this is winner.

The bright colours and textures of items spilling out around their small entrance is what drew me in for the first time. I have shopped there several times, and although I love their stuff I do have to mention that the service has not always been so great; staff are often too busy socializing, or have little knowledge of their own stock; once I left my phone number, wanting the price on a particular item that they couldn't quite get at, physically, and they never phoned me back.

The staff were friendly but left me to my own devices, which I preferred as I wanted to just browse and ponder. I did end up walking out empty handed as the prices were out of my limit right at the moment, but I would consider this place for unique pieces such as the mirrors, I really liked the mirrors... Easy to find, on the corner of the busy intersection of New North Road and Blockhouse Bay Road, I recommend parking down the small dead end street that it is also situated next too, or St Jude's Street.
