I clearly explained that I am a former athlete and a psychology major, and that I can distinguish between psychological stress and physical neurological symptoms. Despite this, I was told there was nothing physically wrong with me and that it was "in my head." Although a referral was eventually provided, it was done while openly expressing disbelief in my condition. That initial assessment followed me for the next six months, during which my health steadily declined. I experienced episodes where I would suddenly collapse while standing. After continuing to seek care on my own, I was finally evaluated by a neurosurgeon and rushed into emergency surgery. I required an ACDF (neck fusion) for a serious cervical spinal condition and was informed that without intervention I was at risk of permanent paralysis. Dismissing neurological symptoms and assuming you know a patient's body better than they do can be dangerous. I strongly encourage patients who feel unheard to trust their instincts and seek additional opinions.

When I clicked the email and text links to confirm our appointments, the message was "you cannot cancel your appointment at this time." We showed up an hour ahead of our appointments to fill out paperwork and were told that we did NOT have appointments and THAT I HAD RESCHEDULED US TO 9/15. I explained my situation needing PT again, pointed out it made no sense for me to postpone my appointment after having moved it up, showed the office manager the text I'd received Friday afternoon (8/14-the day she insisted I'd rescheduled) and she was very rude, repeating that I WAS THE ONE WHO HAD RESCHEDULED. Then when she said she would try to get ME seen by a RESIDENT, she said she could only accommodate one of us, so I said don't bother and goodbye. So I wouldn't know what kind of medical care their medical staff give because they drove 2 patients away before being seen by anyone.
