What a beautiful place both inside and out. We're not members but we attended a graduation party…read morehere. The place is beautifully decorated and the outside views of the golf course and the huge manmade lake are spectacular (see photos). The food....oh mamma the food! This buffet style event included pasta with marinara, Italian greens, Chicken Milanese, garlic green beans, Italian sausage and peppers, carving station with Angus Sirloin, Caesar and tossed salad options and their homemade peppers and oil. Zero and I mean zero complaints on any of it. From the perfectly cooked and tender sirloin to the Chicken Milanese to the pasta, all was absolutely delicious. The dessert table or as we call it here in Youngstown, "The cookie table" included mini cannoli, mini Bundt cakes, homemade cookies and cupcakes. This was not provided by the venue but still worth mentioning because all was delectable. After dining, I proceeded to the outdoor deck that overlooks the ninth hole and the lake and enjoyed a nice after dinner cigar with friends. Great food with great service and great views, this is a solid five star venue. I hope to be able to attend another event here in the near future. Everything was that good.

I used to work at the club as a server and I loved my job to the point where I began making…read morepersonal relationships with members... however, in November I was fired from my serving position because of my political opinions. I found this to be extremely disheartening and discouraging, as the condemnation stemmed from sheer racism and Islamophobia. I had reported a coworker a week prior for threatening to "kill a Muslim if IT" came near him, at work on the clock... he finished his shift. Yet me advocating for Palestinian rights outside of work, off the clock, cost me my job. I just feel like people have the right to know what kind of business they're supporting-- and at The Lake Club, you can be served by someone who threatens to kill people in the kitchen, but not someone who says "free Palestine" 7 hours away from the club.

They have a very decent selections of drinks and carry many seasonal choices as well. I had my first ever Pumpking beer here and was blessed with a maple syrup rim dipped in cinnamon and sugar. I swear you'd think you were drinking pumpkin pie but the 9% content reminds you it isn't. I've had the classic Olde Dutch burger and the mini Olde Dutch both amazing. They make fresh potatoe chips or shoestring fries. They also have some of the most amazing book book sauce I have ever had outside of bonefish grill. Prices are reasonable and environment is welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by. It is so much more than meets the eye.

In 2025, Fox Run is under new ownership and the impact has been immediately positive in every way. I have been playing at this course since 2020 and I always thought it was a decent course but it was certainly not my go to. In early 2025, I decided to play around here not expecting much at all. I was very much surprised (in a good way). The new ownership group is incredibly positive and kind. The family has a passion and joy for the game which makes the round enjoyable from the start. The course itself has improved as well. The course is better maintained and looks beautiful. They allow carts out until the absolute last moment of the sunset which is very rare. I was able to get 18 holes in with a 5:50 tee time the other day. Highly recommend everyone get out and play a round here if you haven't and especially if you haven't under the new owners in 2025.

The carts are in good condition and i have never had a problem where there were not enough carts. There is a store across the street for beverages and snacks which makes it very convenient. Those are my pros, my cons are sometimes there is never any water in the ball cleaner and there is only like one cleaner. There are no porta potties anywhere so it happens often that when you shank your ball into the pine trees and go to look for it you will most likely run into someone taking a leak. Over all its a great course that is taken care of and it provides a good amount of privacy when your golfing.
