Michael's team met me face to face (prior to covid-19 issues of course) so they could get to know me and what I wanted to find. Almost immediately they had three or four potential opportunities that they reviewed in detail. Look, these people know the companies; they work with them closely to place qualified candidates with appropriate employers. I felt their goal was not just to get me my next gig, but to find the right match for everyone involved. Michael was always available, quick to respond and was there for advice and guidance as we went through the process together. In my case: the team hooked me up with an incredible company that resulted in an incredible offer; one that both the company and I were excited about.

While I didn't wind up doing any temp gigs in that time (my program was too demanding), I did continue to get their emails with potential job listings, which I liked as it kept me in the loop about what was out there. After graduating last year I began my job search and last month decided to check in with Glocap and see what they had to offer. I updated my profile on their site and adjusted my email preferences so that I received the emails with the job listings that were best suited for me and my skill set/experience. At the end on May this year I submitted to one of the positions that was emailed and soon after was contacted by Miriyah who coordinated my first interview with Glocap in Century City. She was helpful and sweet and lovely to work with and promptly emailed me the info for my interview. On the day of my interview I first met with her briefly and we covered some basic information and then I had my in-depth interview with Brock, who would become my main contact at Glocap. He was friendly and we discussed the position I had applied to, my skills, my ideal work environment, etc. Later that week Brock got me the interview with the perspective employer of the position I had applied for. I was very pleased with the detailed and prompt email I received from him with all the info I needed for the job interview. I got the job, which began on the temp side and within two weeks received a full-time offer. It all happened very fast, but I believe that came from it being a good fit, that was realized by all parties involved. My whole experience with Glocap, Brock, and Miriyah was very positive and successful and I highly recommend them.

Without a doubt, the best staffing service I've ever worked through - ever. (Ever!)…read more I can't begin to say enough good things about Janet Semino, Adrienne Barbee, and the rest of the wonderful recruiters at Matura Farrington. One brief Yelp review won't fully sum up just how indebted I am to these two wonderful women, but it's the least that I can do: _____________ One of the all-too-common pitfalls of working through a staffing agency is that feeling that you're a means to an end - that you're little more than an expendable piece of meat thrown on a conveyor belt that carries you from one job placement to the next. I should know - I've had downright dreadful interactions with other recruiting agencies in the past couple months. From being given a window of just two hours (!!!) to make a decision on taking an iffy temporary position, to being passed over-the-phone from one recruiter, to another, to another's voicemail...I generally regard working with staffing agencies as a total nightmare. In the case of many other staffing firms, it becomes readily obvious that the recruiters themselves couldn't care less about your personal & professional well-being, and that you're nothing more than a means through which they'll receive their commission. Such is not the case with Matura Farrington. ____________ + I must give credit where it is due - and that credit, in this case, lies largely with the efforts of Janet and Adrienne. These ladies worked tirelessly to seek out potential positions that were tailor-made for my academic and working skill set; I never once felt as though I was being rushed into a hasty decision or placed into consideration for roles that I was unqualified for. Throughout the recruiting process, both Janet & Adrienne remained in constant contact with me, giving me up-to-the-minute status reports on my pending applications and continually seeking out new job openings for me to pursue. Investing my trust in Janet and Adrienne proved to be easy and seamless, as their upbeat friendliness, attention-to-detail, and willingness to answer the tough questions (with minimal sugarcoating!) all scored high marks in my book. The Matura Farrington staff also went the extra mile in terms of their interview prep, giving me comprehensive, precise information to ensure that I was never blindsided by or unprepared for any interview process. While the prospect of landing a job lies largely with one's ability to sell his/herself as a candidate, it certainly helps when you've got people in your corner supplying you with the information you'll need to succeed. + In the end, what Janet's & Adrienne's tremendous efforts resulted in for me was a placement in a position that I couldn't be more thrilled & happy about. The staff at Matura Farrington managed to secure a permanent, growth-focused, challenging, and rewarding position for me at a company that I'm thrilled and humbled to be working for. Not a day has gone by in my first few weeks of employment where I haven't been saying a quick "Thank You" in my head for what Janet, Adrienne, and Matura Farrington have helped provide me with. ____________ For those getting cold feet when it comes to working with staffing firms - believe me, I know exactly how you feel right now. That being said, do yourself a favor and see what Matura Farrington can do for you. The recruiters here have a genuine, vested interest in bringing about your immediate and long-term success. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that they've done for me. I wholeheartedly endorse these miracle workers to the fullest!

My first interaction with The Help Company happened just over a year ago…read more I had recently moved to the Los Angeles area after dealing with some personal and family issues. Moving to LA from the East Coast was hard enough on its own, let alone trying to find a nanny position in a completely new area with no local experience or connections. I was struggling to find my place and the right opportunity. After meeting with two other agencies that flaked on me and made me feel like a second-class citizen, I found The Help Company. My initial interview was with Katie, and she and I instantly connected. Our conversation felt completely effortless. I felt heard, understood, and genuinely valued. Toward the end of our conversation, Claudia, the owner, came over and introduced herself. The connection was instantaneous. Within minutes, she was setting me up for an interview with a high-profile family looking for a long-term nanny. In my 10+ years of nannying, I had never experienced an agency that was so genuinely invested in my future. From that very first meeting, I couldn't have felt more supported, heard, or advocated for. I have now been with the family since that first interview, and I couldn't be happier. Finding the right position was about so much more than simply finding a job--it was about finding a place where I felt valued and supported, and The Help Company played a huge part in that. I rest easy knowing that Claudia and the entire Help Company team are behind me if I ever need them. I'm incredibly grateful for the support they've given me and for the opportunity they helped bring into my life. I truly can't recommend them enough.

The second recruiter I worked with, Michelle, was also an absolute angel. She was supportive, kind, and communicative throughout the process, and I truly appreciated working with both of them. Unfortunately, my experience with the owner, Claudia, was the complete opposite. I have never in my life worked with someone as unprofessional as she was. To provide context, I was matched with two ultra high net worth clients through this company. Both individuals turned out to be extremely emotionally abusive. I have worked in the celebrity industry since I was 20 years old, and by the time I worked with these clients at age 31, I had never encountered behavior to that degree. While I understand that the company's priority is to place candidates and generate revenue, there should have been transparency about the individuals they were placing me with. In my experience, Claudia was only kind and engaged when a placement was made and the company was earning money. During my second placement, I gave a two week notice due to the increasingly toxic and emotionally abusive behavior I was experiencing from the client. One week into that notice period, the situation escalated further and I made the decision to leave the position early. I had previously been transparent with Michelle about my concerns and my desire to leave the role. At one point, the client contacted Claudia and shortly afterward Claudia left me a very aggressive voicemail referencing an NDA and accusing me of disclosing information about a previous employer. This accusation was completely unfounded. The previous client I worked for through this company was already listed on my resume, so there was nothing confidential about that information. I chose to respond by text message because I did not want to engage in a heated conversation when I knew I had done nothing wrong. Claudia's response to my message was simply a vomiting emoji. I found this reaction extremely unprofessional and inappropriate, especially given the circumstances I was dealing with at the time. The company and employer also made several accusations about my conduct. Ultimately, I provided the California EDD with substantial documentation covering the three month duration of my employment, including text messages, emails, and medical documentation. After reviewing the evidence, the judge ruled in my favor and granted unemployment benefits. It took me nearly two years to feel comfortable enough to write this review because of how stressful and traumatic the experience was. My hope is that no one else is placed into situations like this without transparency or support. I sincerely hope the company reflects on how candidates are treated moving forward.
