I'm a newer patient. 1.5 years. I was bleeding (I'm 62) so we did ultrasound and decided to have surgery to take care of what was making me bleed. Surgery went well. No issues. My Dr is Dr Hanlon. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes a lot of time to go over everything. She answers all your questions thoroughly. I felt completely taken care of so going under anesthesia I had no worries. The bad reviews are from years ago so I wouldn't go by them. read more

DO NOT go to Dr. Yi at Bedford commons. She is and endometriosis surgeon that I saw here and have been having severe pain for months now with no help but meds to put me to sleep. (Nobody's gonna complain about pain if they are constantly asleep). I had waited like they asked me for my appointment with her for her to come into the room and tell me that my case seems to difficult and she is not willing to treat me anymore because she feels that I have a "unique case of endometriosis." So now I have useless medication, no medical help, and am constantly in pain and back to square one with finding a provider to help me. Take my advice and learn from my mistake especially if your pain is extensive which is a "common thing for women to go through." And "just period cramps" according to Dr. Yi. She also offered little to know emotional support throughout the process and remained robotic while speaking to me instead of approaching me as a fellow human being with feelings, knowledge of their own body, and emotions. read more

I swapped to a different provider and WOW, what a difference. I needed a very intensive surgery that is not common for my age. My new provider spent so much time going over all of our possible options with me to ensure I was getting the correct services. We met so many times and she was so friendly, caring, and affectionate. Michelle at the front desk is extremely rude. I have talked to her twice now and each time she has been nothing but unpleasant. It is sad because a gynecologist should start with a welcoming experience. She has made me decide to see another OB-GYN office. Friendly doctors but be ready to see at these four or five different doctors during your trimesters. If you're looking for infertility help I would not recommend (confusion and frustrations). Each doctor has her/his own opinion and they're never on the same page about treatments or upfront on procedures/medicaid. They are not equipped to deal with all emotion that comes from infertility. read more

So far, my experience here as been great. Every doctor and nurse I have dealt with, as well as the financial and administrative personnel have been fabulous. I did have one day where they were running SUPER behind and I had to wait 40 minutes in the waiting room, but this seems very out of the ordinary for them and every other time (5 out of the 6 times I've been there) they have been right on time. They are currently working out a lab billing issue with my insurance company that does seem to be their fault- however they seem to be trying to handle it for me which is reassuring. I scheduled my annual appointment in July for end of September as that was the soonest date available. I get a call one week before my scheduled appointment letting me know its been cancelled and soonest they can see me is January 2022. This office practice does not believe in collaborative care with their patient questioning the patient statement instead of trying to understand the issue. The first provider, a nurse practitioner, was totally unsure of what she was doing while proceeding to the treatment and scheduled an ultrasound to be done a week later. Few days later stating about sudden cramps and asking to be seen by a doctor I had to wait 3 days for the ultrasound and finally be seen by the doctor. The day of the appointment, the doctor came with an army of staff in the ultrasound room and passive aggressively explain to everyone in the room I was wrong, and how the NP did a great job. read more

Website is deceiving thinking it was a small practice in my area. Turns out it's a factory. Worst experience I've ever had. Horrible! Didn't accept my insurance until I was a possible candidate for hysterectomy. Dr Wilson preformed an unjustified total hysterectomy without a diagnosis only suspected adenmyosis, which I did not have. BC boosts ultrasound sound technology on site yet Dr Wilson refused to preform one on me to diagnose me correctly. Supporting a doctor who lies to his patients to con them into surgery dollars because of his greed. He didn't even take the time to look at my MRI or pre-existing conditions to evaluate the risk to me. Never once considered my best interest. He promised me my orgasm vagina sex life anatomy/bladder wouldn't be effected...total lie or ignorance on his part and further more BC's part for supporting him. Claims skeletal changes aren't a result of the operation despite a decade of research. I am five months post op and have a compressed spine with trapped nerves. He denied the association. Again the doctor is either ignorant to current medical awareness of consciousness of hysterectomy or he is just greed fueled and I am his victim. I am devasted both emotionally and physically because of this doctor's selfishness and lack of concern for me, his patients. read more

I just wrote a review about Dartmouth Hitchcock in Nashua giving them a one star, only because zero stars are not an option. My complaint was that the nurses and people that answer the phone are compassionless robots that don't care if you live or die, or are in pain. So it only seems right that I acknowledge Bedford Commons OB/GYN as a facility that does care, and it comes across in everyone I have spoken with there, and the doctors and care providers as well. I called them today while also dealing with Dartmouth Hitchcock. The contrast in attitudes is night and day. The concern is evident and sincere and their response time was prompt. They did everything that they could do to answer my questions and help point me in the right direction. I've never had a bad experience there. Thank you BC for treating me like a human being. It seems this is a big fish in a small pond situation. Bedford Commons is one of only a very few Ob/Gyn practices in the area who deliver at Elliot. Unfortunately, this makes them cocky and callous about their patients. If you are someone who hopes to be in charge of your health care, or hope to be respected as a person/professional/mother/etc., I cannot recommend this practice. They begin every relationship with a one-size-fits all protocol, make snap decisions, and are judgmental if you disagree (even with things that are not medically black & white). Respect yourself and respect your right to medical CARE, not medical processes, and look elsewhere. read more

I love this practice! I have been going here for 8 years now, and have seen Christina since day one. Although she is an ARPN and not a doctor, I am fully confident in her knowledge and ability to treat me. I will be considered high risk when my husband and I decide to move forward with conceiving a child, and so far she have given us great planning advice and has connected us with some awesome specialists. She is always friendly and eager to help in any way possible, so I always leave feeling good about my visit! read more

First things first, I cannot talk about the doctors here because I have never met one as they were too busy to schedule time with and had always seen Nurse Practitioners (two of them) and they were too eager to get me out of there and gave me a fake smile every time I asked a question (I hated them). There are too many male practitioners (thankfully I never talked to one). We went there because we wanted to get pregnant and even before doing labs on me, they went straight ahead and booked me for advanced tests which are, at this point, useless, which I found out when I started going to a new practice in MA. These advanced tests need a security deposit of $500, apart from me having a good insurance (ridiculous, I know!). That is when I thought, this cannot be right as I never got a chance to meet the doctor to get an opinion. I wouldn't give this place one star if I don't have to. The best advice I can give you - 'stay away from this money-mongers, you will do yourselves a favor. The practice is FAKE' read more

Recommended to go here by a friend for my first pregnancy. It was a miserable experience start to finish (once it does finally finish). Since every visit except two were uncomfortable in one way or another, I'll state the events that were lasting. I had a bleeding scare (first pregnancy, so I was VERY scared), was able to be seen that day (which I appreciated). When scheduling the appt, the nurse gave a time, which I said I wasn't able to make because I had to drive. I was met with "why would it take you that long? You live in Manchester. I was at work. I was also met with sass when doing the glucose screen when I became ill exactly an hour after drinking the glucose bottle. I quote, "It's not that bad, it's just sugar water." Tell that to my bowels. They consistently sent bills under the incorrect code, so I'm still going back and forth with the insurance company. To top it off, I was repeatedly told "you're going to have to call insurance." I don't send the codes. You do. You call the insurance. They forgot about me for two months at the end of my pregnancy, which was fun. Had I not called, I'm not sure I wouldn't have been able to give birth at the Elliot (or if insurance would have covered it, see above). If they're going to induce, don't use the balloon method. It just prolonged the labor, since the changing doctors disagreed on when to hook up Pitocin. It was a fun no-yes-no for a full 24hrs. Finally, after giving birth, I was in serious pain after a tear. it was impossible to sit or walk. Made an appointment to make sure there was no infection, and literally got laughed at about peri bottle usage. Nothing like having my legs up in stirrups, stinging pain in the crotch, and feeling stupid all wrapped in a nice exit package. read more

The experience with this center has been absolutely miserable. I am pregnant and the process has been nothing but a problem. My appointments are routinely cancelled or rescheduled last minute, I have to fight just to see a doctor and not a midwife, I continue to receive misinformation....I am now in the process of switching to a more accommodative office and now they are telling me it will be 10 business days to transfer my records!?!?!! Absolutely DISGUSTED by this place. Just had my babygirl 8 months ago . I am pregnant again and wanted to use the same provider especially because I had complications with my first pregnancy that led to an emergency c-section and felt comfortable that they already knew my history. Because of COVID I was recently furloughed at my job with American Airlines as a flight attendant. This means my insurance is temporarily inactive . Bedford OB-Gyn just DENIED me because I have to use the state insurance as my primary until I am recalled back to work. I spoke with the HEAD OF BILLING to see if they could make an exception since I was just seen with them and we are in a worldwide pandemic maybe they could make an exception. Nope . She was so rude and told me my option was the clinic. It's funny that this place took the state insurance as my secondary, but they think they are too good to use it as a primary while we are in a pandemic. Shame on this company. I sent 2 woman to this place after I had my baby, but now I will be making sure to tell everyone what this place is really like!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!!!!!!! read more

Love this practice. Just had my baby in July and the entirety of my pregnancy positively sucked! I was sick the entire time and had multiple issues throughout but I felt completely safe, listened to, and supported by every provider I saw. I was delivered by Dr Weidner and she was incredible through the entire labor/delivery. I ended up with an unplanned csection after she was supposed to have gone home from her shift. She stayed, did my surgery and I never felt for a second like I wasn't the most important person to her. Every decision that needed to be made was explained fully and I felt was ultimately my call. I never felt pressured to choose or do anything but also felt she would keep us safe. If I have another baby, I would definitely use this practice, I'd feel safe with any of the providers and I would hope to have Weidner deliver for me again. read more

Between having a child born via emergency c-section, and a hysterectomy a few years later, I have never felt more confident in a doctors' practice. Every one of the doctors are involved in the care of every one of the patients. I have never been made to feel like I am bothering them with questions or concerns. I went here for a follow up from the ER as I was miscarrying my first child. The nurse was somewhat rude which automatically made me feel uncomfortable. I had to drag myself there just for them to tell me what I already knew - that my pregnancy had failed. The Dr asked if I 'intended' to be pregnant and I said no, since it was unplanned. With that answer, he replied "Oh, I ask because it's usually a lot easier if you didn't want to be pregnant in the first place." No, no it's not. Just because it was unplanned does not mean we weren't accepting and didn't already have love for the child. Aside from that, no tests were performed to reassure that A. the pregnancy was for sure failing and B. that my health wasn't in danger. Highly insensitive and passive. I unfortunately need to go back for another follow up appointment (of which I do not know what to expect) - and it will be my last one. read more

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I've been going to this practice for 3 years and have already delivered once with them and now am being seen by them for another pregnancy. At the old practice I went to, I'd have to wait 30-60 min after my appointment time to be seen and if I'd call the nurses I wouldn't get a response for at least 1 business day. Here, I'm always seen withing 5-10 min of my appointment time and get a call back or message back on their portal from nurses within an hour or so. Very friendly doctors, nurses, and office staff (and I've seen them all). Delivery/recovery at Elliot could have been better, but I think that's the hospital, not this practice. I have been a patient at Bedford Commons OB-GYN for 8 years and have only wonderful things to say. The doctors and practitioners truly care about my well being and always find the time to see me. When I call the office, a real person answers the phone - that's hard to find just about anywhere these days - and I always get a call back within an hour. My husband and I chose to go to Bedford Commons OB-GYN for both of my pregnancies. From the care during my pregnancies, ultrasounds, and deliveries, I could not have been more pleased. I ended up finding a doctor up in Maine who specializes in the removal of endometriosis. He operated on me back in October. After surgery he confirmed that I did in fact have a ton of endometriosis still that he ended up removing by excising it all rather than just burning the top layers that so many OB's do nowadays which only aggravates the disease. To my surprise this doctor also confirmed I had appendicitis and removed my appendix. This man (Dr. Martin Robbins) is a miracle to the medical field and really gave me my life back. Most importantly, he listened and believed me. I have been absolutely pain free for 9 months! So again shame on Bedford Commons for their lack of compassion and wanting to help. read more

Terrible experience. I was 21 with my first child and was brought into an appointment after being tested for pre-eclampsia and was told that half the practice thought I needed to be immediately induced and the other half thought bed rest could get me a few more weeks. So it was up to me.....god how I wish I was kidding. I ended up waiting because I was only 30 weeks and knew the longer she was inside the stronger she'd be. I made it to 31 weeks when my daughter had a stroke in utero and I had to have an emergency C-section. I DESPISE this practice. read more

I started seeing the physicians at Bedford Commons OBGYN for my annual GYN visits and am now expecting my first baby! I wouldn't choose any other group of doctors for my care as everyone I've met so far has been great. They recommend you see a variety of providers for your OB visits because any one of them could be on call when you deliver. I love knowing that I will get a chance to meet the provider who will be delivering my baby and address any concerns ahead of time, as well as develop a birth plan. The practice also offers evening ultrasound hours twice a week so I can invite as many (or as few...;-) ) people to my big 20-week ultrasound as I want without having to worry about work schedules. This practice is accommodating, caring and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I have been a patient there for years. I have to say that if it weren't for the limited options in/ around bedford I wouldn't put up with the stuff that you have to go through in that office. I have read the other bad reviews and have to say that I would agree 100%with all of them. I'm a pretty patient person and have put up with a lot in this office. I will be going elsewhere cause at some point you just have to say enough is enough. Ask a friend and get a recommendation to go somewhere else. Anywhere else Or as my boss said you need a gyno why not just see your regular doctor. read more
