My friend Kevin and I stopped in here to check on their comforters and duvets. The store is so cute, with the barn design and architecture, it's hard to miss if you are driving down Boynton Beach Boulevard. Bedding Barn was founded in 1965 with their first store in Newington, Ct. Over the years, they expanded and now they have locations in 2 states with 10 of free standing "Big Red Barn" landmark buildings. As we walked in, Gennaro was quick to engage and greet us. He spent time showing us the options around and also was very good about giving us a good deal. He gave a discount on one item and after we told him we needed several more, he offered another discount for quantity. Very nice and friendly experience. I worked for bedding barn for over 4 yrs as a salesman, primarily in Boynton Beach and Tamarac. Although I did put in time working West Palm, Deerfield, and Davie. Buyer beware!! Yes, you can negotiate a good price with David Crone, the owner, HOWEVER, rest assured that you'd better carefully check your mattress on delivery. Odds are very strong that IF they don't have your purchase in stock, they will readily swap a floor sample from one of the stores and deliver it to you as a new purchase. If the mattress's bag has ANY tape on it, voila, a floor sample and NOT NEW! This is both illegal, and quite simply fraud. I was fired for protesting their daily illegal procedures as a standard of operating procedures. Yes, I freely admit to being a disaffected ex employee, but it's based entirely on provable facts. I kept track of various transactions. I challenge the Crones to take me to court over what is written here. THEY ARE THE SKETCHIEST FRAUDSTERS I EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO WORK FOR! Horrible experience. The mananger at the Newington, CT store treated his trainee very poorly, embarrassing him numerous times, berating him and talking down to him in front of us. It was extremely uncomfortable to watch and we all felt horribly for the employee, Joe. No one deserves to be treated that way. Paul, the manager, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I bought my favorite mattress then and there. He gave me a great price (I compared with Google reviews), and they delivered it quickly, no muss, no fuss and carted the old one away. I've been sleeping beautifully every since. I purchased a mattress at Bedding Barn, After the first night I called the salesman Lonnie and advised that the mattress was very uncomfortable and I wanted to exchange it. He was rude and obnoxious, told me there was a policy that stated I had to keep the mattress 90 days before exchanging. I was never told about this during purchase but they actually attach this policy to the BACK or your receipt. Very unethical business practice. Who reads the back of their receipt? Lonnie has two sides to him as has been noted in other reviews, as long as he's selling you something he's pleasant, if something goes wrong he becomes nasty and belligerent. I finally got a great replacement mattress after being insulted, having to sleep on a horrible mattress for months and getting the run around from Lonnie. read more

The worst costumer service ever! Lonny is more consumed about hearing himself speak. He's condescending and fails to follow through with his duties. I had a mattress which I purchased from the davie Florida store 3 years prior. It was due to be replaced because of a manufacturing issue. I'm 50 miles away now from the original store of purchase therefore the davie store advises to go to the Boynton Beach store. Lonny refused to assist and said the only way to get assistance was to travel the 50 miles instead of utilizing the Boynton Beach store. The salesman at the davie store basically advised Lonny to use common sense and assist us because of the distance, not only that it's a corporate store. Lonny reluctantly assisted and when it was determined we'd get a credit on the purchase of the new mattress Lonny omitted $400 off the new mattress credit (probably for his own gain) make a long story short the proper credit was issued. We were told the mattress would be delivered prior to leaving town which it was delayed by a week and when I contacted the tamarac store (corporate manager (Dave) no call back was received nor message left. A week later and were in the western part of the US lonnybwas supposed to have the mattress delivered (morning delivery) with a call in the morning and another call 45 min out. Again tamarac store was called. I was advised " NO NOTE ABOUT MORNING DELIVERY NOR PREVIOUS CALL 45min out" which doesn't surprise me due to Lonny's and the BOYNTON beach stores lack of professionalism. STAN at the BOYNTON store was amazing, professional and very helpful. Looks like we'll have to delay the delivery once again due to Lonny's failure to adequately do his job. I have only had the best experiences at Bedding Barn! I recently helped my elderly parents purchase a bed. I didn't know where to begin. The owner David and his staff were so knowledgeable, helpful and patient. We picked adjustable bases with unbelievably comfortable mattresses. We highly recommend the store as well as the base that adjusts the head, feet and even massages. Also, they were delivered fast and my parents are so happy with it. read more

We came here first to start "shopping around" and left purchasing a new mattress and adjustable base...I was skeptical at first and told David the Salesman/Manager that "all beds are the same"...Well, he was extremely helpful, never pushed us into buying anything beyond our budget and was extremely patient. He was never pushy and really seemed to care. I will never deal with this place again. They promise you everything before the sale and turn their backs on you afterwards if you need assistance. I bought a mattress and box spring set several years ago and apparently the delivery men didn't set up the frame properly. I will probably have to purchase a new one, and you can be sure I won't go to Bedding Barn. I have never before dealt with a store that doesn't stand behind it's products or installation. And I agree with the reviewers who described the nasty attitudes of the staff. I have never been to a less helpful store. I was interested in purchasing an adjustable base bed and I had a lot of questions. The salesman could not have been less knowledgeable. He only wanted me to try the mattresses, but I have purchased mattresses before and I know what I like. What I don't know is anything about the electric mechanisms. And I still don't. I don't even know the salesman's name, just that he was a slight older gentleman. I asked him a question about the differences between the various mechanisms and he said "they go up and down." He showed me a remote control and said it has a massage feature. When I said I didn't need that, he showed me an old-fashioned remote control that was attached by a wire to the underside of the bed. When I asked again about the different adjustable bases, he pointed to two and said "that one's gray and that one's brown." I can't make this up! I obviously left without making a purchase, and I will cross this store off my mattress-buying list. read more

If I could give this store a -1 star I would. I went to Bedding Barn thinking I was helping a local business as I know it has been there for a long time. What a mistake this was. The salesman sold me on a mattress that he said was " a really great deal" and that it was "the last one they had". I paid cash for the mattress which was $1,399.95 (pre tax and delivery). Within days we realized the mattress was terrible and causing us immense back and neck pain. We contacted Bedding Barn and told them we would like to exchange the mattress. We were told we had to wait 90 days. Throughout the next few months we made 5 additional phone calls to Bedding Barn. My husband and I have not slept in the same bed for months, I have been unable to do physical activities I once enjoyed because I am in constant pain. Each time we called we were told the same thing, "You have to wait 90 days." So today, after the 90 day mark I arrived at Bedding Barn at 9:00am which is the time their business cards and Google listing states is open time. No one was there. I came back at 10am and was met by George. I explained to him my situation and he pointed out some firmer mattresses that I may like better. I explained to George I did not want to spend anymore money other than their $100 restocking fee and $35. My options were either cheaper, less in quality where I would not get my additional money back or a mattress I would have to spend an additional $400 or more to swap with. George contact "his boss" by telephone and I was told there was nothing else that could be done. I google searched the mattress they were trying to tell me was $1700 only to find it listed at other retailers for $850. When I tried to show this to George I was told "We don't compare prices here with other stores". Bedding Barn literally advertises themselves as a discount bedding store and they are trying to sell me a second over priced bed for even more money. I left the store without resolution and had to go back home to a mattress that is causing multiple issues within my house. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM BEDDING BARN. read more

He finally asked if we were going to purchase the one item. I told him no, not from him and turned around and walked out. I purchased a twin mattress from bedding barn in Enfield CT and loaded it on to the back of my truck. Once home I slit one side of the plastic rapped around the mattress and a very toxic like smell filled the bedroom. After two weeks the smell did not go away. I returned the mattress back the store and the sales person said they don't accept returns only exchanges for another mattress. After arguing for 20 minutes she accepted the return. Took my original receipt and said they would mail me a check it could take several weeks! After a month went by I sent bedding barn headquarters a certified letter demanding they refund my money $230 after doing this three days later I received my refund. The best thing about this place is it's proximity to Boynton Cafe (FRESH lemonade to DIE for! - and I did, once, but they brought me back through CPR). But this place is okay too. Nice selection of GOOSE DOWN products. Stay away from those corporate schmucks when it comes to bedding. What do they know about linens? They're staffed by men! Horrible!!! Buyer beware !!! I cannot believe how the manager and sales person treated my Mother!! True, this store offers a wide selection of mattresses at decent prices (which brought us into the store in the first place) but the customer service aspect during an exchange/return transaction negates anything good about purchasing from this store at all!! The sales person and manager ganged up on us, raised their voices, and bullied us out the door, when my mother simply requested to return the mattress she just bought and exchange for a better mattress she considered. This was something she was told she could do by a different sales person not in the store that day. The manager and sales person on duty wanted us out the door indicating to her they would be in touch at a later date (has not happened yet) And they did this in front of other customers in the store.
