As I was walking to lunch on Kings Street, I wandered into Two Cumberland to peruse the cute products. They have tons of cute clothes, including some stuff that looks to be geared toward college sororities. They also have gifts, jewelry, and homewares. As I grabbed a few items, someone led me to the dressing rooms. I, being a girl shopping alone, needed a second opinion on a dress. Luckily, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Also, other shoppers chimed in and helped make the sale lol. They cashed me out and wrapped my new impulse-purchase dress with tissue paper and a cute bag. It was truly a gift to myself! It is timeless, well constructed, durable yet attention grabbing clothing. What keeps me going back is the incredible service. Impeccable and so genuine. Every time I go in, I am greeted with familiarity and warmth. I end up just standing and chatting with these fine people more than shopping sometimes. They stand behind the quality of their goods. Case in point: I bought a wool blend hoodie last year. I wore it to Iceland over the summer then I wore it once during a cold streak and the seam on the back ripped. They quickly sent it to a tailor and had it repaired in no time, no questions asked. I also have noticed they are starting to make more and more of their duds in the United States (great ethos). Their price points are on the high side but you get what you pay for. I have shirts from 8-9 years ago that are still in style and are on excellent shape after multiple washings. I am tall and clothing is hard to find, especially at boutiques. I actually didn't even come with my wallet, knowing that I would 99.9% walk out without anything fitting. Caroline will custom size, make, and order pieces for you. Think boat and shift dresses, caftans (short and long), shorts, tunics, bags, and girls' clothing. I placed my order…read more2 weeks ago, and the item I ordered was not a preorder or anything like that, it was an item in stock. I've emailed them more than once on this issue, originally just asking for an update on when my order would be shipped. I have received no response whatsoever, yet they post on their instagram dozens of times a day on their story. The email I have been contacting is the exact email that is associated with their confirmation emails when you place an order, it is not a no reply email. It even says in the confirmation email to contact it or reply with any questions. So either that's a lie and no one monitors the email, or they're flat out ignoring my concerns over my order that I paid for. Either way, I am extremely disappointed. Examples like these are what make it harder to support certain small businesses over major corporations.
