We are absolutely thrilled with the projects completed by Beck Landscaping! From our initial meetings, materials selection process, overall design and installation phase, Brian and his team provided an elevated level of customer service that surpassed our expectations. No detail was overlooked or too small for them. Our project was multifaceted; including a full backyard redesign, hardscape, proper drainage (which in the Houston area is vital), side yard hardscaping, front walkway and hardscape, to name a few. After weeks of indecisiveness on my end in choosing a paver for our patio, along with multiple trips to the stone supplier, I finally selected one. The crew began installation as soon as the materials were delivered. I came home from work and did not love the selection that I made. I let him know at 6:30am the next morning. He was at our house within the hour and instructed his crew to remove it until I found something that we loved. Without hesitation, they began to remove all of the pavers and undo all of their efforts they had put into the job the day before. There was no frustration from the team. His team's attentiveness and upbeat service reflect positively on his business. You can tell by their interactions that this begins at the top. We even had a neighbor tell us that they have never seen a harder working crew that seem so happy with their job. Our backyard was a space we never used, rarely entertained guests there and chose not to spend time. We now enjoy all of our free time outside. It has been an overall lifestyle change for us. Our front walkway has completely transformed from broken concrete and bricks compiling into multiple levels. It is now a classic, modern entrance to our house that welcomes all of our guests. The continuity from the front yard to the backyard is seamless by the use of the same pavers that we used in the backyard. His idea to utilize the pavers and make it all one level was something we had never thought to do. We contacted Beck Landscaping to prepare a master landscape plan for our new house. Brian came out, discussed what the scope of our work would be and viewed the property. In a week, he returned with several plans that included what was to be done, when it could be constructed, project costs and options available. He accurately translated our vision into specific detailed plans. He was easy to work with, a good communicator, creative, pleasant and flexible. We settled on a scope, schedule and cost with construction commencing within a week. We had worked with designer Anna Whatley on a previous job and were really pleased with her design and the plants she selected for a very shady location in front of our house. When we decided to have the side yard landscaped (we are on a corner), of course I wanted to work with her again, particularly because this location would be challenging with a mix of full sun, partial sun, and mostly shade. Anna developed a plan that uses appropriate plants in the areas with those different conditions and managed to create a very long, gorgeous landscaping bed that meets all our needs but also hangs together visually. We were super pleased and have received many compliments. There was one little hiccup during the installation, but that was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction, and we don't expect any job to go perfectly. We started with an idea of a little fire pit patio, and then maybe adding a pool. Brian took our ideas and created a beautiful backyard paradise! We feel like we are living in a resort every day of our lives! The design is perfect for our space, with the shapes and seating areas playing so innovatively together. We wanted to plant the flowers and other smaller plants ourselves, and they gave us the space to do so, creating rock-lined beds, planting the trees, and placing the (gorgeous!) boulders. And our backyard is breathtaking day or night with the LED lights in the landscaping and on the pergola. Brian, owner of Beck Landscaping, was truly a home run. He and his team transformed our yard by installing lighting, new plantings, re-arranging the plants we already had, and re-designigning our beds. He even painted our existing flower pots with a cool ombre technique and hooked them up to our sprinklers so I don't have to worry about keeping them watered. He listened to my ideas of the kinds of plants and color schemes I like, but also provided an artistic eye and suggested things I hadn't thought of. We just finished a patio/backyard project with Beck Landscaping and couldn't be happier. Our tiny little original builder-constructed patio is gone and in its place we have a beautiful paver patio that's almost three times as large. Brian Beck did a great job working with our backyard and making certain the design worked with the house and the existing landscape. He even did a little extra to help with our elevation/drainage problems. We've already signed up for a second project with him. Brian did a great job! We discussed what we were wanting done to our property and Brian listened and came up with a landscape design that met all of our expectations. Then Beck Landscaping went to work removing the existing rocks, dirt, sod, and plants. The work took a couple of weeks but 'wow' when they finished. Brian is the best! I had a SEVERE drainage issue. Brian came out in the rain to see first hand the problem. He saw that I was in an emergent situation and got on it immediately. Of four landscapers Brian was the only to suggest that the problem was the gutters.
