On a recent family trip to Puerto Rico my daughter's boyfriend took us to Bebo's for dinner. Let's just call it a meat feast. Steam tables with freshly barbequed beef, pork, chicken and two different types of sausage. Yellow rice and peas, yucca and plantains. They sell all the food by weight. We had more food than we could finish for only $32 including a beer! The BBQ was some of the best I have tasted. Their homemade chicken sausage was my personal favorite along with the grilled plantains. The rice and peas were great and they only had a small amount left when we ordered it, wish we had more. I'm glad my daughters boyfriend is from PR because the people behind the counters serving up the food do not speak English. He did all the ordering for us. Really good pork and chicken. The other reviews are true about the meat being a bit dry, that's why I prefer the chicken more than the roast pork as the meat is juicier. The sides were very generous and 2 orders generated like 2 separate meals. Very affordable as well! read more

A must try when you are visiting San Juan! This was my first stop when I arrived. Located a few minutes away from the airport so it was the perfect first meal. We ordered the pernil, chicken, cuajo and rice. Everything was so yummy and cheap! My favorite was the pernil, skin was so crispy! Kinda expensive for the food. You can find cheaper places here in PR. Everything was pretty salty as well and my friend said it had a moldy type smell. We ordered pretty much everything and they were so nice to give us samples of other things that we weren't sure about. It's in the same lot as McDonald's. They have several benches and tables. I would add this as a place to visit while in Puerto Rico! It is a sort of shack/stall they have, but there is seating here if you'd like to eat there. The line was pretty long for sure but I would say it is worth it. The Pernil Is really good! Is the Best? No but pernil is difficult to find in a dense tourist spot so for that it was good. The arroz con habichuelas were tasty no complaints on that. Wish they offered some sort of salsa for the pernil because it would be more flavorful but regardless it is worth going here especially if it is your first time in Puerto Rico and you want to try some authentic food. read more

This is the most amazing place on earth! There is no bad choice when ordering here. All of the food is so fresh and tasty. We were visiting Puerto Rico from NY and my Father In Law who lives in PR took us here. Soooo DeLisH! I posted pictures of our meal on Facebook and all my friends back home were so jealous. Roasted chicken, Pernil, Ribs, Yucca, and Morcilla (blood sausage), rice and gandules. We ordered about 1/2 pound of each. This was enough food to feed about 5-6 people and came to about $20.00. Great value great food! Sometimes the line can get a little long and they take a while to prepare order even though the food is already done in window - but totally worth the wait. This place is outdoor establishment dress in flip flops and a tank top type of place. Next time we visit PR we will definatly look forward to coming back to Bebo's! read more

Our AirBNB host recommended this place to us. When I think of BBQ, I automatically think of the sauces... To my disappointment, there were NO sauces to be seen here! However, the ribs were insanely tender and worth a try. The yucca root and plantains were good, but VERY oily! Pretty good food at good prices. A little overly salty and oily, but pretty good. The ordering process wasn't good. It's quite confusing with no menus or prices or anything like that. So you just have to ask how it works, which is challenging when they don't speak much English and I don't speak much Spanish. But we got through that. We ordered 1/2lb of pernil, 1/2lb of ribs, rice, and yucca, so our total was around $18. This is to give you an idea of the price point since there's no menu. I was disappointed in the pernil as it lacks flavor but the ribs and yucca were my favorite. It took me 35-40 mins just to order pre-made food on a Monday. We happened upon Bebo's while picking up our rental car. We warned about the wait, but it wasn't too bad, maybe 10 minutes in line. We got ribs, half a chicken, and pork. The ribs were my favorite overall, but there were a few very fatty parts. The chicken had great flavor. I really wish there had been sauce of some kind. The place doesn't look like much in the outside, but as long as they serve good food I'm good. Restroom was a little iffy, could've definitely used some attention. It wasn't bad, middle of the road BBQ in Puerto Rico. It's not going to be traditional smoked Memphis or Texas style you'll fine on the mainland, but is it very tasty and Puerto Rican style, marinated with Garlic, lime, salt, and other spices. The name BBQ sometimes is translated differently across the globe. But it is on a grill with fire, and that's what counts for the taste. That Yucca and Puerto Rican Rice are a hit!!!
