Thunderstorms interrupted our waterfall chasing, so, we switched gears and drove to somewhere we'd never been. What a lucky day!! A horseshoe parking lot with a walk-through gate into a fabulous garden filled with local plant varieties to support the local species & each has informational signs. Bat houses dot the trees. From there, you follow a short path past the restroom (with an incinerator toilet!) & gathering area to the boardwalk tracing through a beautifully laid out wetland. It is Fully Accessible in all areas with ample seating throughout the walkways. The design is phenomenal & everything was so well-executed. No bikes or horses allowed. Nesting herons could be spotted in the distance, along with frogs & turtles up close. Fabulous Spot that I'm thrilled to have accidentally happened to come upon! read more
