When i got home I noticed the hacked layers the following day I returned to salon and they refunded my money. I spoke with the admin department at the head office who went on to tell me that the girl that did at my hair was a junior and should have been supervised !!!!!

There was not one person waiting to be seen and when I told this man what I wanted he said "no time". I literally wanted my roots coloured which takes an hour from start to finish as I have it done every couple of months. When I questioned their closing time he just repeated "no time". I am a considerate person and if I had come in an hour before or even an hour and a half I would understand more but 2 hours and 10 minutes with no apology. Just ridiculous.

One stylist told me how she does Heather mills' hair for photo shoots, Parkinson and her wedding! So, they have some high profile clients with people that do come from all around to drop by. However, the prices do not match this and are far more competitive than you would imagine. They are hoping to open a beauty parlour in the new year which would add to the all round experience. I give this salon 5 stars because I have had so many bad hair cuts and get so annoyed but they are always spot on so I wouldn't go anywhere else. They do prefer to have appointments arranged as it can get quite busy but they did say that you can pop in and see if they can fit you in.

I've been going to Roots for about three years now, and I am so pleased with the result every time…read more I've only strayed twice, once for time constraints around Christmas, and another time because I had moved away for a spell, and after the hack jobs I got at other well-regarded salons in Brighton and Los Angeles, I've come back here to have my cut corrected each time. I have my hair done by Emily, who is a talented and smart gal, and she's always done right by my 'do. She listens to what I want, keeping my curly, frizzy hair looking healthy and in check, and always does a great cut. I joked in the past about returning to Hove after moving away just to have her do my hair (and like an idiot I didn't, and wound up with whack cuts instead!), but now that I've moved back here, I'm afraid she's stuck with me and my curls.
