It isn't pleasant to have to write this reiew…read more HVTC is a very clean, professional operation. The artists were great, and I never had any bad experiences with anyone, until the one that triggered this review. I booked with Jaosn Carpino, and made a $500 deposit. I want to clearly state: I did not pay close attention to their cancellation policy, probably because Ive been tattooed so many times that I assumed (incorrectly) that all shos were the same. So, when I missed the appointment and I was told that they would keep the entire $500 (I thought incorrecly that it was $150 per session missed) that it was criminal. I said so to Nicole at the desk. She then clearly explained the policy again, and I listedned, as upset as I was, and understood. I was in the wrong, and they were not. She then told me that I would have to email Jason to see if "he wante to continue" which I thought was odd. I receivedd a very curt email back from Jason saying that due to my behavior with the shop, my grumbling about Square (I had complained on the first day that my phone pinged a dozen times early in the monring and that I wasn't a fan of Square) and because of my overall negative interatction, that he wasn't interested in continuing to work on me. (This is about a $10,000-$15,000 job by the way). The only real "conflict" i had was with the young guy that answerd the phone and who called me looking to move me to an earlier appointment. WHen he called, I was shuffling out of JFK airport, and he had a big agenda, and wasn't really listening to me. I told im it was a bad time, that I couldn't answer right then because I was in transit from internatinoal travel. He went on with the dates and times. I told him again that I don't have the ansers, and when he still kept pushing I said somthing like "Look, I don't have the time or wherewithal to answer you right now!" This led apparently, to deeply hurt feelings. It triggered an email from Jason about an "unpleasant" conversation with the kid, and I emailed back that nothing of the sort happened, I wasn't rude, I just couldn't give him the answers to his agenda. As it turned out I could not accept the appointments being offered, so we didn't go with them and that was that. I never at any time was rude to anyone. Direct perhaps, but I think that comes off as rude. I tipped Jason in cash, which doesn't seem to factor into his evaliuation of me as a customer (read, he didn't give a shit) and apparently eveyrone at the practice was so butt hurt by their interations with me and got so triggered that they decided to terminate all future appointments and move on. Fair enough. I don't work for people I don't like either. But to paint a picture that I was rude is just incorrect and unfair. The whole problemm stemmed from the kid that initially called me to reschedule or move up my appointments. Even from day one, he was kind of a douche and wouldn't even make eye contact, didn't respond to my introduction or any pleasantries/small talk. Pretty disappointing because everyone seemed pretty cool, but I think there's a bit of "Mean Girls" pomposity that comes off immediatley. Like, I've worked with some of the world's most prominent and well-respected artist. I've missed an appointment with one of them too! There were no tears and retaliation though. Just a polite warning.

Today I got my 4th tattoo from this spot. 3 were by shish and one by Adam. All of them equally as beautiful. I have watched them work and they are all friendly, professional, super clean and SO talented! Not to mention entertaining! Seriously, the caliber of artists here is top top notch. And I'm a picky b*tch! Lol If you are shopping around look no further!

PROFESSIONAL, clean, friendly, talented, caring and most amazing experience! I've been coming to…read morethe shop for years This picture is a dedication to my cat that passed in October. He was my fierce lion. He kept me strong. He kept me wanting to fight for everything. With this being said I went to Two to Tattoo and I went to another place which I'm not going to mention their name and I gave each one the same picture and asked first can you do this but incorporate something of my cat into this tattoo, I met with Matt Carroll who does black and white lines only and we discussed it and he said he can absolutely incorporate some of the characteristics of my cat into this lion. The other place I had been text messaging for about a week and I never heard anything back until after I booked the appointment with Matt. I was sitting on the table and received a text message back from the other tattoo place and they quoted me no lie $3000 , for the same exact piece that I got at a fraction of the amount they quoted, way under 1000! now let me tell you I am so glad that I booked my appointment with Matt at 2tone, it's not the first time I've been to 2tone and it definitely won't be the last time I go. This shop is amazingly clean, very professional very customer service friendly The artists that are here are all amazing. All nice and so very talented. The prices are more than reasonable. Now I sat with Matt for 3 1/2 almost 4 hours and I don't know if you've ever gotten a tattoo but when you get a tattoo, it's kind of a personal thing and you share a lot of information back-and-forth. This man has so much talent and loves what he does. I gave him 150% freedom to do his artwork. I gave him a picture for reference. It didn't have to be exact. I gave him a picture of my cat and what I was looking to do, he incorporated my cats eyes into this tat, the color, the shape, the exact characteristics from my photos . Matt does black-and-white, grey shading and it wasn't hard to talk him into doing a pop of color which he was totally on board with and my tattoo came out amazing it's absolutely beautiful and stunning and it is a piece of art that I will be proud to wear and show off and tell the world they need to go to the shop! Now here's another note if you are looking for amazing talent without having to sell your firstborn or your car just to get a beautiful piece of artwork. I suggest that you go to. 2tone Tattoo because you will not be disappointed! Like I said in my review, every artist in this shop are professional. They are so talented and I think they should be charging more personally lol but the prices are so reasonable. I can promise that every person in this shop will treat you amazing and you won't be taken advantage of and you definitely won't be covering up their work. I will definitely be returning over and over and over again. I wanna give a huge shout out to Matt and tell you thank you so very much for taking the time and working with me and including pieces of my cat into this piece of work. You are a very talented man and I'm honored to wear your work on me!!

First and foremost I want to say I loved this shop, cool little shop out in NY, clean and well…read moremaintained, and reasonably priced. I looked at their portfolios and I can say all their work looked awesome. I got tattooed by a Chris, who was a cool dude and really worked to make sure we got the images right and exactly what we were looking for. I love the tattoos me and my friend got, but there are some issues. I putting the photos attached here, my NY fill in tattoo and her Sully tattoo as you can see are bruised, her sully tattoo is extremely bruised to the point that it spread around her arm with swelling and bruising, my NY it more localized bruising. I have had quite a few tattoos done over the years, and in many different states by a lot of talented artists and I can say I have never had bruising on a tattoo, or anywhere near as much bleeding during or after a tattoo that I or my friend did on these. I am not a tattoo artist so I can't speak to why bruising occurred, or why they bled so badly. Still would recommend this shop, but I note the 3 star is due to this healing cause it is concerning between that and the bleeding during and after the tattoo. Just as an extra foot note, I have had 8 hour sessions done and an American traditional that stretches across my entire back and neither of those were nearly as irritated as these tattoos.
