First time coming here. The lady was really nice but the other worker give me attitude. I asked for certain colors and show the inspiration picture and the guy grabbed a whole different color. Told him twice it's not that color but still keep telling me it was. Then he grabbed the color that i told him it was and was ruff with my nails and pulling my hand when i never moved it from the spot. Then a few of my nails were crooked from others. Not going here again. Definitely not worth the time. They Need to improve the way they act with a customer. read more

No stars! I went in a week ago wanting Dip powder and left with builder gel. The man who did my nails was named Danny and he told me if the builder gel didn't last I could come back for a refund. My nails starting popping off within 2 days. I went back in for a refund after calling and confirming that I was eligible for a refund and he said I purposely ripped my nails off to get my money back. I'm very disappointed and unsatisfied with this experience. I would not recommend choosing this nail salon when seeking a solid set of nails. read more

The man seemed to care more about the music on his phone than doing my nails. He had drilled my nail till it burned and he nicked me in three spots without apologizing. He also seemed annoyed when I showed him what I wanted done, so the vibe was bad. read more

Beauty Essential - The guy had nicked me three times with the drill and didn't care to apologize. He had drilled my nail till it burned. - Nail Salons Near Me - Galliano, Louisiana

This place is set up nice. But, it seems like every time I get a pedicure here, I get ingrown toenails because of the way that they cut my nails. It is pretty painful. Also, getting your nails done right also depends on who actually done them. Multiple times I've left unhappy, with bubbles all over in my nails, or crooked nails. Not worth the money for what they give you. read more

The hair stylist is really nice and will try to do the best she can. She did a great job with my mother's hair, but I was less satisfied with mine because she didnt want to cut my hair the way I wanted because my hair is curly. She did a decent job but it's really hard to find a stylist who really knows curly hair. (Women without curly hair will make you look like a triangle) Okay, because the location is perfect for me I tried her again to dye my hair. Again fantastic dye job, but I didn't like my highlights. They were not blended in some areas and it looked monotone blonde in others. She used a 30 developer when a 20 should have been used and my hair is dry and frizzy in places.(My base color is red so no I didnt want to be blonde.) The highlights added no depth and there was a ring around my crown that just screamed cheap hair job...which it was certainly not. I think she will be fantastic with experience, but I can not advise 150 dollars for bad highlights. She did dye my hair back, but my money, time, and healthy hair is gone. So, this place is fine if you have straight hair, just need a basic dye job (the other woman also did a wonderful job on men's cuts) but I advise a more experienced salon for anything else. read more

I had gone to beauty essentials a few months ago. They've done some awesome upgrades since the last time I went in, but the reason I've stayed away for so many months and have found a different nail salon to go to has pretty much stayed the same. Now they now look like they could probably be in some trendy city but the actual customer service is garbage, when I go to a nail salon I know I'm going to be there between 30 minutes to two hours depending on what I'm getting done. In those 30 minutes to two hours I don't want to awkwardly be sitting there in silence. What I also don't want is for me to have to wait extra amounts of time because the employees are too busy checking Facebook. The nail tech doing my nails actually stopped to make a FaceTime call in the middle of her putting on my acrylics, so unprofessional. If I were running any sort of establishment my employees would not be allowed to check their phones while in the middle of helping a customer. It's rude and it's bad for business, it also cost me almost $10 more on each different treatment then at the new nail salon I go to. It's not that I'm being cheap I just don't want to pay $50 for my nails to be painted red. I have been hearing a lot of good things about all the different upgrades to the business so I gave it another chance but I'm definitely not convinced. I'm sticking to my new nail place, it may not belong in NYC but the customer service is always great, they can hold a conversation with you and they definitely make the experience all about you. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, but these folks were as friendly and helpful as could be, without being obnoxious. Excellent, comprehensive, detail oriented service. I've tried the place across the street and found them quite rude, was very happy to find this salon. Ask for Mike - he's amazing. read more
