This review is long overdue but here it is. I have experienced thinning hair over the last couple…read moreof years due to thyroid and menopausal issues. I have tried different wigs but they always felt too heavy and "wiggy" looking. I bought a wig from another wig shop in town from a mom and son team and while they were patient in helping me pick a wig-the wig itself was a disaster. When I found this shop on Yelp, I decided to give it a go. And I'm so glad I did!! Chris, the owner of the shop was so kind! He made me feel at ease right away. We looked at a few options and I decided on a wig closer to my graying hair. WOW!!! He chose a lightweight, comfortable wig that looked great on me. Although the wig was a bit out of the price range I was looking for, it was worth every penny for the big confidence boost it gave me. I have worn this wig at least 2-3 times a week and have washed it with no issues. I highly, HIGHLY recommend you come in and let Chris assist you. I promise you, you won't regret it!

Nice selection. BUT Extremely rude owner. Take your business elsewhere for a wig…read more.. THEY PRE-JUDGE YOU! ...the owner (older, shorter, dark hair/wig) said, right in front of us "she (my daughter) is only here to try on for hair color" to another sales associate (Phyllis) after my daughter tried 2 wigs with the owner, and then wanted to try a 3rd. After that, we were TOLD by Phyllis that MY DAUGHTER COULD ONLY TRY ONE MORE!!! Apparently we were wasting their time?!?! They acted like we were lepers. How did they know what we were there to buy? Or return later to buy? Or bring friends to buy? Or purchase for upcoming high school musical? Or buy for my greying hair when I realized that they have clip-ins? Maybe this is why they operating out of the degenerate Swap Meet. Yuck.

This is a review mainly about PHYLLIS who was working in the booth today, as the selection of Vegas…read moreGirl Wigs is impressive, albeit exorbitant. Phyllis seemed pleasant enough at the start, asking if she could help me. I explained that, Yes! I needed some help and told her the situation. See, I ordered a wig from China... and it looks impressive online, but who knows how it'll be received and also... when. It's taking the slow boat over. I'm going to need a wig sooner than the boat's ETA. She said, "Why did you do that? Don't EVER order a wig from China!" And I agreed... but explained that I didn't even know Vegas Girl Wigs existed at the Swap Meet until after I had placed the order. So... here we are. I told her I was looking for a Victorian-style wig for an upcoming theater production I am in, but explained that I was on a budget. That's when the trouble happened. Phyllis must've thought she was being cute when she said: 1) "Well, they need to up their budget!" I explained that this was Community Theater, there is essentially no budget... I'm the budget. 2) "OH... You're one of those STARVING ARTISTS?" Umm... I said, "Well, I'm not... TOM HANKS!", but Phyllis continued with the starving artist remarks, and I then said, "This is community theater. We all have jobs. We are not "starving artists." (please note, I have professionally acted in NYC, LA, and Europe, made my living doing so even... but let's not kid... I'm living in Vegas now. Are there really THAT MANY full-time professional ACTORS in Vegas? Phyllis... where do you think you ARE, love?) Phyllis then wanted to tell me about some actor she liked, it was clear she was really kinda "done" with my shopping experience. She brought up this actor dude about 3 times... I then tried to ask the prices of a few wigs, and she kept stating "They're all different prices..." being that NONE of the wigs I was looking at were priced, I asked if she could get the prices of them. She took one back (to the owner of the booth?) and returned with "$80". Now, this was a wig with fake hair, mind you. Styled, but fake. I asked about a couple more, getting the "They're all different prices" but also getting "I can't ask right now because (the owner?) is on the phone." I asked to try one on. She was going to plop it directly on my head... I asked if I could hold the forehead piece as she was putting it on, so that it would sit on my head appropriately. The gall of asking though, right? She had HAD it with me, it was clear. She told me it was $69 (Yelp Readers PLEASE check out the photo I took of this $69 wig!! It's worth a giggle and a half-- almost-$70 mind you!) and told me that my budget wouldn't allow for anything in the booth, save for the wigs in the bins. Then she was GONE. The "wigs" in the bins ranged from $10-30. The $10 ones were mainly fake-hair pieces, not wigs, and the $30 ones were impossible to see, because they were all matted, snarled, and tangled up into each other,-- they were an absolute mess. For $30. LOL. YYYyyyyyyyeah, no thanks. And note to Phyllis: Save for people getting chemo treatment... consider not scoffing at actors next time... you may just lose an entire potential client base... starting with me.
