On my third treatment the technician lasered random areas on my shoulders, upper back, legs and arms. I have since returned and had 3 more treatments. I look like a freak. SOS-Don't go! I never post reviews, so you can imagine how…read moreupsetting this situation was for me. I had a very disappointing experience with Amanda. My appointment had already been rescheduled from 10:00 to 11:15, and then she was still late coming in. I had driven an hour for this eyebrow appointment after 6 months of completing five sessions of laser removal and $500 later. While mapping my eyebrows, she stopped to talk to a technician next to me about a biblical/scripture story for at least eight minutes. I felt that discussing religion in a professional setting--especially when the client is essentially stuck in the chair--was inappropriate, and quite frankly, I just didn't want to hear it. I politely told her it was making me uncomfortable and anxious, and that I wanted to focus on finishing my brows. Instead of acknowledging my request, she told me she could not continue because SHE felt anxious, and then refused to do my brows, saying she would refund my money. This was especially frustrating because I had already been told she was moving and only available once a month, which made getting this appointment completed all the more important. I feel her actions were unprofessional and inconsiderate toward a client who had invested significant time, money, effort, and travel. A simple "I'm sorry, no problem" would have gone a long way in resolving the situation. For context, as soon as my friend heard Amanda was moving, she scheduled with someone else--and in hindsight, I wish I had done the same. She refused to reschedule my appointment and left me with NO BROWS. Very unethical. I should have read the reviews first-I am not the only one with issues with Beneath The Surface.
