Beautiful In October we needed boutonnières for our wedding and needed to find a specific color rose for a center piece. We stopped in and met the owner and the team. They were so nice and professional. They took the time to ask us what we were looking for in our boutonnières and took our order. They also were able to find the roses we were looking for and had them ordered and delivered on time for our wedding. We asked if they could order holiday roping/garland for our house. They could, so we ordered it in time for our holiday decorations. They looked awesome and comparable pricing to other stores. We were so impressed with Westwind because they are all professional and offer great customer service. Prior to the holidays we received a beautiful display as a thank you and congratulations for our wedding. It was a wonderful, but not needed, gesture. We used it as our family dinner centerpiece. They left it on porch because both of my parents were contagious. How could you expect better service? Lisa answered the phone and was really sweet. After a tiny florist shop closed in South Berwick Maine I had very low expectations and doubted I could find a florist who could deliver a cheerful, fresh, and beautiful bouquet to my parents. If a loved one deserves amazing flowers and you are in a state far away, it is sad because you just want to bring them there yourself. Because I have sent flowers to South Berwick for the past twenty five years I have an understanding what I'd like to pay for the service. When the shop was in the same town, $50 seemed logical. This time I splurged for $75 because it is a little bit over a five mile drive from the shop to my parents. Don't get me wrong, I send flowers as often as needed and visit in person as often as I can afford! I live out of state now, and officially, "from away," as some Mainers might say. I'm grateful I have found a new florist who I can trust in a pinch.

I find out later that we were charged and an arrangement was delivered. I spoke to a worker, Phil, who was rude and sarcastic during our conversation. He insisted that since it was delivered I should pay. He finally agreed to refund me when I pointed out that it didn't make sense to make me pay for their error and forwarded the email where I cancelled. I email the shop about the conversation and my husband's concern that Phil might not refund us due to his rude behavior. This morning the owner, Melissa, calls me and we have a conversation about the order and email. She was angry about the idea of having to refund me for the reasons Phil cited. She also tries to tell me that the email was unclear. She reads it back to me and I tell her that the words, "I'd like to cancel this order" are very clear. In my mind she could have convinced me into not getting a refund if she would have simply apologized for the mistake, Phil could have convinced me if he would have apologized and had been civil. She cut me off and finally told me that I was no longer welcome to order from them anymore. The arrangements are very beautiful, but Phil and Melissa were so intent on telling me it's somehow my fault rather than admitting they made a mistake. I did receive a refund. We all make mistakes, it was a weird escalation. It's strange to tell people I'm not welcome at a floral shop in Maine because they're upset at refunding an order that I had cancelled with three weeks notice. That's where it went though.
