A few of my favorite things in here are the handmade soaps and bath bombs, GORGEOUS glass mosaic art, handcrafted stationery and quirky metal crafted wall decor-my favorites definitely being some cool alligators playing an accordion and fiddle. I spoke with the owner and they've been here forever; a true institution for the small town comic geeks. The shop is kind of small and set way back in the shopping center, you actually kind of have to look pretty hard for it. The space is small so it's a little cozy but everything is well organized and cleanly lit. The owners were some of the friendliest people I've ever met; they gave my friend a couple of issues after speaking with her a bit about her tastes in comics. Honestly two of the nicest comic shop owners I've ever met. Their selection is a little limited by their space but they will happily do special orders and do folders for customers. I wouldn't expect to find a complete selection of, say, Jodorowsky here, but they've got 95% of what most people are looking for and can order the rest. Clean shop, friendly people, you can't ask for much more.

It's a really lovely…read moresign to see a vinyl store here and the interior, although small, is well organized and has a surprisingly good selection for its size. I'm pleased to see a lot of indie selections in Cajun country; Beach House, Mac Demarco, Wild Nothing, amongst others. There's also some cheaper pre owned vinyl that aren't horribly overpriced, which is nice to see. Great shop to browse around and check for hidden gems.

Finally got a chance to stop in and look around this little gift shop in Broussard and I'm happy I…read moredid. I'm in this shopping center often, but they close at 5:30 and I'm always a bit too late. Vivian's has lots of really cute stuff and I mean LOTS. The space isn't very large but every corner is filled so it's kind of hard to really browse without bumping into something, which is nerve racking considering the signs throughout that say "You break it, you buy it". I was very precariously trying to look at everything while making sure not to knock anything off the shelves behind me, so if I had any complaints that's it. I went in to look at the Christmas clearance and found a few things for a steal, and the guy keeping the shop was so helpful and let me browse without being intrusive. He even told me about some of the things I was interested in that they had in the back (there was so much stuff they had MORE IN THE BACK) and gave me a few extra little gifts with my purchase. I'll be back again soon for sure!
