Wish we would have read the reviews first !! Gail should not be teaching 3 - 4 yr olds at all !! No patience, rough and she is a bully, not only to the children but also to the parents !!!! Totally unprofessional in the way she acts and the way she speaks !! - You can call it abusive !!! The owner actually tries to defend Gail's actions and how inappropriate she speaks !! I don't care how long you have known someone, when they are wrong, you call it out and you especially speak up for the smallest ones - with all the bullying that goes on in our society, why would you accept bullying a child. Both my daughters attend Beaumont Gymnastics Academy for the last 8 years! They now practice 5 days a week 3 hrs a day (we had MUCH less practice time years ago before we started the higher level optional competitive team). In all these years and hours of being here (and YES I stay the whole 3 hours nearly always) I have witnessed a many of ups and downs for the students, coaches and even staff!! If I could go back in time and know everything I know now, even the very negative exaggerated at best stuff those gossipy-mom-types have spread a few times, I would still come and spend every minute and ever dime here at BGA!! Coach Debby (the head Gymnastics coach) loves EVERY one of these kids as if they were her own! The staff here has ALWAYS been kind to me and the owners are just as friendly! read more

I'm not sure I've been this upset in a Loonngg time. So my 3 year old started gymnastics today and has been beyond excited for her first class. Maybe 20 minutes into it she is crying. It took everything in me not to run in there and get her. Instead I waited it out, gave them a chance. My poor baby tried so hard to be strong. I could see her fighting the tears as this lady would pull her up to get her to pull her knees up. That was it, no more. My toddlers leg should not be red from where your hand is slapping her thigh to straighten her form and her bun sure as hell is not for you to use to straighten her head because she is looking down at her feet. This is her FIRST time for gymnastics, I'm not training her for the competition, we aren't getting her ready for The Hunger Games.. I'm only giving 2 stars because the receptionist/secretary was very sweet to us. My TWO YEAR OLD was crying because she didn't know where she was and it was new to her. On the first day of her tot trial, the teachers inside the tot room have zero patience or compassion for younger children. My daughter was terrified of the older woman and kept trying to get away from her. After pulling her by the arms to try to make her stand and lay on an X my daughter kept crying. I could see everything going on through the glass and was not happy with the lack of sympathy this lady had for these babies. BGA needs more compassionate teachers who are motivated to work with toddlers, not yell at them. After 10 minutes into the class, the older white woman threw my child out the door saying "who's little is this? She's not ready. Sorry." Then proceeded to slam the door. I will not be bringing my daughter back here I had to quickly go outside because I was so heated at this lady. Maybe hire younger coaches that have energy and patience to deal with small children, BGA. I also have heard from 5 other parents who said the same about her. I was under the impression it was a "mommy and me" class, not a put a 2 year old in a class she has no idea who anyone is and expect them to stand on an X and stay still. I'm not sure that coaches name, but you'll know her if you see her, I have no idea how she still has a job. Do not recommend.! read more

Wishing I would have read reviews before bringing my children here. My 5 year old did great in her class w/ a different teacher, but my 4 year old did a trial class w/ Ms. Gail yesterday & I wish I would've never brought her there. I explained to Ms. Gail that this was my daughter's first time in any kind of class like this and that she is very shy, that she would need time to warm up. I didn't really like the strict vibe I got from Ms. Gail, but I thought I would give it a chance ... ASSUMING that they would give me daughter a chance, too. Ms. Gail took my daughter into the class, and started instructing. My daughter was crying, as I expected, but was participating w/ the help of the teacher. Class started at 4:30, AND AT 4:34, Ms. Gail took my daughter out of the class and told me that was enough time and that she shouldn't be in the class. She didn't even try to help my daughter, much less give her a chance to warm up. When I stated that it had been less than 5 minutes, she said, "That's enough time." So, I got my daughter and got my 5 year old out of her class and took them home. They will not be back. Although my 5 year old's teacher was wonderful, I will not be paying money for my girls to go somewhere that apparently doesn't pay attention or just doesn't care about what Ms. Gail is doing. BGA lost two students yesterday and now my 4 year old doesn't even want to try a new place. Do better, BGA! There are several complaints on here about Ms. Gail. She shouldn't be teaching TODDLERS if she doesn't have more than 4 minutes of patience for them. Mind you, there were only 3 children in this class w/ two teachers, so it's not like she didn't have the time to work with my daughter. read more

The following was an incident that occurred at Beaumont gymnastics academy (BGA). This was not a one time incident but yet the last straw. When other parents State just don't watch because it will make you upset in regards to my three-year-old that's absurd. I have no idea why Gail is allowed to treat these children this way with no consequence. I'm even more baffled by the owners lack of concern and justification of her employee placing her hands on my child. On Aug 21 my 3yr old was attend a tots gymnastics class with coach Gail. My daughter got in trouble for pushing another child while in line for the balance beem. Coach Gail decided to grab my 3yr old by the face and reprimand her. At this point my child is crying and Gail proceeds to hold onto her face and scream at her. Once class was let out I asked Gail in front of a crowd of parent " what happen with my child today" Gail stated "nothing" I asked her "did Brooklynn have a problem today" Gail said "no she was fine". As a result I said " so what was the reason that you grabbed my child by the face" she proceeded to tell me that she did not grab her face she placed her hand under her chin. Once I told Gail that she indeed did and that other parents saw her she stated " I did and I do it again if she doesn't look at me". I told Gail that I need her not to place her hands on my child face. I told this woman I am a pediatric speech pathologist and all the children may not listen to me or look at me when I need them to I have never placed my hands on a child's face there are definitely more appropriate ways to get a 3yr olds attention. Gail told me... " if you bring her back to this class I will grab her by the face maybe you need not bring her here". At this point I was flabbergasted! I went up to the front desk and spoke with the very nice lady there she told me that the owner would call me when she got in the next day. By 4:00 the next day I still have not received a call so I called back I was told the owner was in meetings and I spoke with the office manager & she was very nonchalant about what was going on. She proceeded to ask me what my daughter had done and if she was new to the class as if Gail placing her hands on my child would magically be resolved by whatever behavior. Around 5 o'clock I decided to go up there. I was told the owner was on a conference call so I indicated to them that I would wait. Once the owner finally grace me with your presence she continue to look down at her paper as though my concerns were invalid. Yes I understand that kids need to be reprimanded at times and that they have a class to maintain. However placing your hands on my child's face and holding it as you scream at her face extremely inappropriate. Yelling at me and telling me as though you have some right to place your hands on my child is absurd. I naïvely expected A resolution from the owner. The owner stated that she knew this woman for 20+ years and Took care of her own children. I Guarantee you that woman did not place hands on the owners children. I warn all parents to know what you're getting yourself into with BGA and Gail. I cannot vouch for the big kids side only what I see with the tots. read more

My daughters first ever gymnastics class was with Gail. I like others wish I would have read the reviews. The way she man handles these sweet babies is crazy! I took my daughter out not even 5 minutes into class. She was crying and I was so mad I was crying. Owners never contacted me after my complaint but stated she has been doing this for a long time. Apparently they are friends. It took everything I had not to wait and whip her ass in the parking lot and show her what it is like to be man handled. Do not sign your toddler up for this class if you care at all about your child. You WILL regret it. read more

My daughter has been going to bga with Ms. Gail for almost a year now and we have nothing but positive experience! Ms. Gail PATIENTLY work with my daughter's fear of the bar and now my daughter loves gymnastics!! I have recommended Ms. Gail to friends/family and I will continue to do so due to our great experience at bga!! read more

Definitely the BEST GYMNASTICS ACADEMY IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!!! I LOVE BGA!! It's a great environment for kids to learn the skill of gymnastics and have fun at the same time! They have the best coaches and the best equipment. BGA ROCKS! read more

I wish I would have seen these reviews before I took my 3 (almost 4) year old. My experience is quite the same as the other mothers. Gail is too rough with the children. My child cried every time I brought her, at first she said she still wanted to keep going so I stupidly went along with it. She was constantly grabbing her face and physically manipulating her body including picking her up by her arms. I had my eldest daughter in another gym and did not have this sort of experience. Gail bragged she has been doing this for 30 years, well, maybe it is time for a career change. I withdrew my daughter from class yesterday. My child should not be affraid to go to gymnastics! The last time we went was the breaking point for me. My daughter was suppose to jump on the mat with two hands on the mat, bringing both feet up with a jump at the same time so she could get on the beam, she was unable to do so. Gail came over to her and pushed her over on to her head (on the mat). She wasn't hurt, but my daughter got up and she did it again and again. I should have went in there and got her out at that point. I feel like a failed her as a parent. I was frozen, and completely dumbfounded that this was happening in a class. This all happened toward the end of the class. Gail came out and had the audacity to tell me that my daughter needs to practice at home, because she is holding up the other girls.
