There's an assortment of tables and chairs that are included when you rent. One feature of the hall that people may not like is that one of the walls is covered in mirroring. As someone who is incredibly vain, I didn't mind it but I can see how it might not be other people's cup of tea. The rest of the walls are just regular white brick. What is really great about this hall is the management. They are so kind and understanding about any concerns. We were allowed to use the kitchen (provided we weren't using the stoves) without incurring any extra cost, which was awesome because we had so many desserts that needed to be kept in the fridge until the event started. I highly recommend this venue if you are holding an event. It's more reasonably priced than a lot of the other halls out there and the management is so laid back and helpful.

I haven't organized these events but family and friends have (weddings). It's a beautiful location with photogenic scenery enclosing the manicured lawns and lodge. Perfect for wedding pictures. It's charming, and having the dining hall seperated at an angle from the dance area works in terms of noise for our elders who wanted to sit and chat.

She even provided us with her cell phone number so we were able to contact her if there were any issues (which there weren't). Food was great, staff was friendly and timely - the building itself looked great. For the type of feel of this venue (rustic, country, etc) it is one of the more affordable options in the city. Also was nice to have everything in one spot, reduces some of the coordinating especially if you're doing it yourself. Some of the rental prices are a bit higher than perhaps a rental company or buying off of kijiji but for ourselves was worth it to avoid having to coordinate rentals and drop off, pick up, set up etc. costs and policies were clearly outlined in the information package provided to us originally. Only thing was that we were not able to get the space the day before our wedding to decorate so we had to do that day of - but that is the nature of getting married in the summer! These guys have been absolutely incredible to deal with; they were patient, helpful, understanding, intuitive, and most of all they made it not just their hall - but "our hall" as well. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming dealing with them for the planning, layouts, big details and small details, food, aesthetics, time frames, and people flow etc.... It was like we were part of the family. There are so many items to planning a wedding and we did our ceremony and reception here which added quite a bit of coordination complexity, and it all went absolutely perfect. The hall has had some reno's with new carpet, paint, tile, lighting, use of the new and improved green room for the ladies. It was already nice to look at, but now its the nicest hall I have personally ever been in when done up to the 9's or just kept simple. The food was incredible, and absolutely everyone loved it, we have been getting compliments every time we see someone that about how much variety there was, and the quality. They are very fair and reasonable as well, they will level with you, be honest, and help you find the best way to do your wedding. There really is a sense of honor and integrity that comes with a long time ran family business such as this. Their reputation is truly number one, and they will do anything and everything to keep it that way which makes them super great to deal with. There are so much more things to say but I would highly recommend coming here for a wedding(especially a big wedding) or event or any kind. And I would put it up against anywhere for the quality of the overall product you are getting for your money. We were super happy, and impressed as you can see and I cant say enough good things. Thank you guys so much. We will always remember our big day with you.

The owners, Chris and Jeff, have put their heart and soul into making it a success and it shows. There are packages if you're looking for a wedding venue, Christmas party venue, or just need a larger area to throw your event. They have also partnered with the Wyndham Garden (8016 Sparrow Drive in Leduc) for not only special room rates, but also shuttle service. The outdoor cement pad has two nice wood burning stoves which are nice if you want to be outside and it's a bit chilly. They also have the option of a portable bar outside as well. In my and my husbands opinion Whitewood Barn is the perfect wedding venue for a rustic chic type of couple. Chris and her family we're very accommodating and provided great recommendations such as our photographer @pinkskyphotography and Ryan at RAD Media. They made our day feel special and when it unexpectedly fell cold, they made our guests feel at home and cozy with our homemade cider. They went to great lengths to ensure everything ran on time and to make sure my husband didn't see me until I walked down the isle. From helping me "fluff" my dress to my liking and making sure the groomsmen put the boutonnières on properly they were there every step of the way to make our day perfect. When we signed the agreement and made the deposit, it was very clear that it was non refundable, which we were completely fine with! This is how businesses survive! Ensuring they have profit to keep up with the maintenance of this beautiful venue. If it was easy everyone would have a whitewood barn. Due to the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic, I can see how some people may be frustrated about not getting their money back. However, knowing Chris I can guarantee she has been trying her best to make accommodations based on the available dates. Please don't forget that behind these venues there are families that are trying to desperately keep their businesses intact! So please be kind and support this venue.

Luckily it wasn't too busy for the Friday afternoon. It is beautiful to look out onto the river valley. My husband had a banquet and the food was so so. I definately expected better. The appetizers were set around the table but it was akward to ask people to pass the vegetables and dip over. I would have much perfered our own plates with the appetizers. And even though it was plain I would have eaten more of it knowing how lousy the main would be. For sure my favourite thing was the salad. Fresh and flavourful and interesting. The prime rib main meal was cold by time we got it to our table. The prime rib even though it looked good was tough to cut. I gave up on it. The chimichuri sauce was good. The potatoes were grainy and cold. Dessert was decent. I am not a sweet fan but I did eat more than i normally do because of the main. When I asked for tea our server looked disgusted at my husband and I and said, "We don't serve tea." BS the last event I was at they had the usually Tazo blend. I said can I speak to your manager. She huffed away and finally she came back with two random low and behold Tazo tea. We had a rock, paper, scissors to not be stuck with camomile. If you are here you knda get stuck with whatever they choose for you. And don't ask for tea.
