Food is terrible. They kept bringing me food I can't eat. Talk to the admin and still got the wrong food. One night I got one chicken nugget. They are Understaffed . Some employees are great but some a terrible. Would not let anyone I cared about go here. Can I give 0 stars? read more

This place is short of staff. The individuals are not cared for like they suppose to be. The administration over works the RN's, LPN's and CNA's. The ratio at times is 20:2 and they know this. Very disrespectful and rude. They are prejudice there. read more

The nursing staff is great and the rehab is good but the food service is the worst I have ever heard of. I have a friend that has been there 3 days and they have forgotten 2 meals. They have never gotten any of her orders correct and when they do send food it is so little and so bad you are still hunger. (Ie: 1 small sicken breast, 2 baby carrots, and 2 broccoli florettes.) They do not pay attention to food allergies and have sent them almost every time food was sent. read more

Understaffed..Rehab therapist are not passive about their patients in physical and occupational therapy..The director is not trained in discharged procedures... She's not accessible neither does she return calls to family members nor the service people we recommended for aftercare services..My Mom's niece a state social worker witnessed all the shafting upon my Mom's discharge.The home health service that we used before was not set up because SG lied..I reported the facility to Medicare and Medicaid..They need a competent housekeeping service..This place has deteriorated in service from 20 years ago when my Mom was there after her stroke.. read more

Our mother entered their independent living section about a year and a half ago and then they forced us to transfer her to their assisted living section because she was declining and they couldn't manage her interactions with the other residents - telling us the staff in the assisted living area were better trained to help. She was there for five months and the staff was not any better at helping her navigate her interactions with other residents. The (supposedly award winning) management staff weren't capable of managing her or sitting her down with the "offended" residents (like adults who need assistance in living would require) to help them work through any disagreements or misunderstandings. They essentially evicted her (telling us we had to move her out) without ever sitting her down and telling her they were doing so. Their costs may be lower than some others in the area, but beware of them if your parent has opinions or difficulty being rebuffed by others, because it won't last long. read more

There isn't an option to give negative stars but if I could I would. My Grandmother was there for a 5 day respite care stay as she isn't able to care or herself anymore. She's 92 with dementia and a language barrier. Dropping her off was a nightmare. I took her to Botsford and no one knew who she was or that they were taking in a new patient. We were asked to wait in her room (which took 10 mins to find out), and waited for almost 45 mins so the nurses there could figure out who would do her intake. When I had gone to check on her she was not being cared to. I spoke to a nursing manager who was extremely rude, and was given different information then what I was given from a nurse that was on the floor that day. We were told we'd receive a phone call regarding how she was as never received that. The staff took it upon themselves to cut all of her meds in half. As far as picking her up today (3/11) there was no discharge paperwork to be signed. I only found this out after the nurse stepped away from buying plane tickets for a flight to Houston on the company's phone. She wasn't in break, it wasn't her personal cell she was on duty making travel arrangements. I got her home to find that she hadn't been changed in what seemed to be 2 days. I am beyond upset. And no one seems to really care. read more

My mother was at Botsford Commons for rehab after a fall. She began coughing and getting sick and they didn't call a doctor or provide any treatment, although they said they would. My mother was taken to the hospital where she died 3 days later. Don't let anyone you love enter this facility, the staff seem friendly and the place appears nice, but don't be fooled like we were. If zero stars were an option I would have selected it. read more

If you love your family member I would not suggest allowing them to stay in the rehabilition section of Botsford Commons for any length of time. The staff is very unprofessional, uncaring, and slow. If I could give negative stars I would. I have never experienced treatment like I had there, especially in a place that is all about healing and well being. After only being there for a few days we are requesting discharge to another facility. It is a shame because the place itself looks inviting but with staff that doesnt care and have no idea how to act appropiately its a shame. Please do not patronize this establishment!!! read more

I'm writing regarding how your facility does employees. This nurse has been employed there for almost 5 years. She has been off since June. She has had 4 surgeries. She has another due on the 19. So far it's been 75000 worth of surgery. The one on the 19 is for a hernia a mass and something they found on her pancreas. She has been stuck in the bed. She's not traveling the world. She only goes to doctors appointments. She is diabetic now. She has so many health issues. Not one person has reached out. Not one card or a flower. She's been struggling hard. No well wishes. She's has been a daisy award winner and employee of the month. When a lot of staff quit she stayed loyal to her 2 south residents and families. It truly hurts my heart about the lack of compassion by the staff. You post so many pictures of happiness but the reality is different. She been there with those residents helping them with their party every year. Getting them dress and taking outside. Working doubles until her back and feet hurt. When a resident dies she cries with the family. When they have a birthday she's there singing happy birthday with the family. When the residents are sad she the one they cry to and she hugs away their pain. Now that she's down and thought the family she thought she had at Botsford she really doesn't have. Now she cries alone because the reality has hit. That is simply terrible and inhuman to treat your loyal employees in that manner. read more

I, too, would give negative stars if I could. My mother (77) stayed here after open heart surgery. She had an incision on her leg that was allowed to get terribly infected. I didn't see the wound until infection had set in and only after I raised my concerns with management was any action taken. She ended up back in the hospital for another weeks' stay. These people are clueless and for the most part, the place is run by inept staff who could care less about the loved one's left in their care. On the day that my mother went back to the hospital they called me to inquire where she was....they arranged for her to be transported back to see her surgeon and had no clue as to why she hadn't returned. From the outside this place looks great but in the end it's a warehouse where no only really cares about the people who stay there. My mother is on the mend but she ended up with a wound that was 12 inches long and 2 inches deep that was oozing infection..thank god she didn't lose her leg. If you love someone who needs additional care.....find somewhere else to take them. This place is shameful!!! read more
