You know those chainsaw-carved bears and other creatures you see all over Ruidoso, NM? Bears R Us is one of those places to buy the renowned pieces. Currently, this fairly large building is located on highway US-70 near Ruidoso Downs. When we were there on May 5, 2024, they were having a moving sale. Everything was marked 10% aside from a large metal Zia symbol I found on the back patio area. It didn't have a tag and I was offered 30% off, which I gladly took. That made it $24.50. I forgot to ask where they have plans to move & their timeframe, sorry. Do not order from this company. They advertised photos of an advent calendar and switched a word So you did not Realize you were not getting what you thought. Bait and switch. I made a purchase on November 1, 2024. I received my item December 30, 2024 which was quite a few days later than their website states to receive your order. Than the item I received was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what was stated on their website describing the product and it is impossible to get a return label to return their product read more

If I could give a zero I would!! Products are not what is posted!! Returns are impossible since you have to mail back to China. For a $30 product return would have been $107. They take a month to ship and when you send in a problem it's weeks before they reply. Used credit card to get refund. STAY AWAY!!! read more

This was our 3rd Bear spot as we looked for a Carved Bear to take him from our vacation. They had an immense inventory on ceramic, wood and other crafted work. The artists definitely were talented and also the great selection of imported pieces from Mexico were great as well! They sold anything from Bears to other animals, pop culture pieces and religious pieces. We spent a while there for all the selection. It was hard to find anyone for questions but when we did they were friendly and knowledgeable. Ended up buying a bear and several pieces from them! Aside from having to find someone to attend us it was a good experience. I'll give them a plus for being bilingual as my wife feels more comfortable speaking Spanish. Prices were the best of Ruidoso as well. Will be back! read more

Do not use this site to buy anything. I bought a board game that was not at all what was advertised. It was a knock off from China, took weeks (not the 5 business days as indicated when I placed the order) to get here and was obviously not worth the money that I paid for it. Do not order from this company! I ordered adventure calendars for my grandchildren and was told it would take 5 - 7 days but their items come from China, so 2 months later I got a package. Sent numerous emails and tried to send it back for a refund but it would cost me just as much to mail it back as it did to purchase it. That's how they get you. We went to check this place out while on vacation in Ruidoso, and being a tech student of course I had to get this little bear, and sun flowers are my favorite flower so I had to get a photo there with my girlfriend! This shop has a wide range of wood carvings, ceramic, and metal pieces from figurines to dishes to signs. The prices were higher than comparable pieces from other shops down the road and along the southwest border. I noted quite a few pieces with chips and breaks so if you do get something be sure to inspect it first. I pulled in due to signs saying carved bears $20, however I could not find any bears costing $20, with the smallest climbing style bear (about size of a football) being the closest. Pulled in looking for a bear for my wife's birthday. I took my time and walked through the whole place. Could not find anybody to help me at all. Now I had stopped at two other places first so I had a rough idea of a price range. Talk about out of my price range. Compared too the other two places, the prices were at least three times higher. We've been going here for years. We usually get something, if not for us, as a souvenir for someone else. They started with just bears. That still have bears, but now have beavers, roosters, aliens, etc. They'll even custom make a bear for you. A few years ago, they added metal art, bird houses and even have furniture. We visit Ruidoso every year and we always find something new! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Sometimes you can even see bears being made!
