The craft beer selection is always changing and they seem to add on the latest and great releases by a lot of the local breweries. I also tend to bring wine to family functions and the staff are able to help me with my decision in pairing certain wines with a dish for the function that evening. I walked to the back of the store to get a case of Angry Orchard and when I got to the register, the cashier, Susan rudely asked me if I was with a gentleman that she just had refused service to. I didn't enter the store with him, I didn't have any interaction with him and I didn't know him. But Susan rudely said to me " Are you with him because if you are I'm not serving you". I was taken off guard because what would give her the idea to ask me that but beside s the color of my skin. He was a black man and l'm a black woman, so in her mind I was with him. It wasn't so much the question that bothered me, it was her tone toward me and the fact that she profiled me. She was nasty and I took that question as her being a bit racist. She did not ask the white male or white female that walk in before me were they with the black gentleman she refused service, but she asked me. It's 2025 and people are still practicing their racist believes. If you are going to be in a customer position you should treat all people with dignity and respect. I will not be returning to that store ever again.
