Suddenly the lady working there came and said "let me take those to the counter for you" and basically took them out of my hands as her eyes were looking into the bags we were holding. We were stunned as we had just arrived and we hadn't really even began to shop. She didn't do this to anyone else while we were there. It was so incredibly offensive I just got the items back from her and left. My daughter and I discussed it and I went back and told her how offended I had been. She apologized that I felt offended but it fell flat and I don't think she was actually sorry. It was so weird and disappointing. Needless to say, this is no longer my favorite store in Tryon.

I always tell…read moremy children please do not spend money on me, put it towards an evening out or one of my grands. The arrangement arrive while I was still working. When I saw the flowers my first though was oh, my husband must of been trimming and accidentally hit some of the flowers in the backyard and just threw them in a vase so they would not die. But no, there was a card attached from The Flower Cottage of Columbus NC. I took a picture of the arrangement and texted my kids to say thank you. Now mind you my daughter in law is a major Events Coordinator all over the world. When she saw the picture she was so upset. She had paid 102.00 for an arrangement that appears to have been thrown together from scraps. She made several calls to try to see what had happened, she said surely they delivered the wrong order to you. NO, actually a man from the Flower Cottage called me to ask why I had complained about my flowers. I was taken aback. I didn't call it was a Mothers Day gift to me. He insisted that I arrange a time for him to pick up the flowers and then he would replace. I told him that wasn't an option. He then said I needed to drop them off at the shop and he would replace. I was so angry that he was making it my job. After more calls from my daughter- in law he calls me back and said bring the flowers to your office and we will pick them up and exchange. today, May 10, he actually picks up the old dead flowers and brings me a replacement.....same flowers, same look, different day. Same old mean man.

When they arrived my mom sent me photos and it looked NOTHING like what I had ordered. I picked a white & green arrangement with maybe 4 yellow flowers. Almost every flower was yellow, they were sloppily thrown in a ugly childish vase. I called to express my concern and the response I got was "it's a busy day for us - we have a lot of orders to fill and ones that came in last night". Well I ordered 3 weeks ago to avoid this. The last minute order should get all of their flowers replaced not me! They refused to refund me my money and instead picked the arrangement back up and said they would redeliver. Well it's been redelivered and again it looks like someone just threw stuff in a vase and said screw it. My mom doesn't even enjoy what should have been a beautiful arrangement because it looks that bad.
