    My mother received a bereavement arrangement from a friend. When she sent a photo to her friend…read moreand said thank you, the problem started. The problem was that the arrangement was nothing like what the friend ordered and paid for. When the friend called to talk to them the woman on the phone was extremely rude and said that they are allowed to substitute. Yes, they are but this was a completely different arrangement and smaller than what was picked out. The friend asked for a discount on the arrangement since it was different and smaller than what she wanted. She got hung up on by the rude woman at the shop. She then called her credit card company and had a 3 way call. The rude woman at the shop refused to give a discount and said that she was sending someone to go pick up the arrangement instead. She would rather upset a grieving woman than charge a fair price for the arrangement. Can you imagine the embarrassment of sending someone you love an arrangement after their spouse passed away and then having it taken back from them? Can you imagine the uncomfortable feeling that loved one had getting the call that the flowers are being picked up? NO COMPASSION!

Being from another state, she…read morestumbled upon Field Flowers and knowing she didn't want to send flowers, she checked out their gift baskets. My friend found a wonderful snack basket on Field Flowers website that showed cookies, cheese, crackers, a small meat of some kind (sausage probably), and a sprinkling of chocolates. She thought it was perfect since I'm not a big candy eater (some of the other baskets were assorted candy, a chip basket, and so on). She wanted it delivered the same day, which shouldn't have been a problem. Shortly after placing the order, I received a call from Field Flowers telling me they would not be able to deliver my package that day, as they had an emergency they needed to tend to. Totally understand an emergency, but why would they call me and not the person placing they order?? In essence, they ruined the surprise. The following day, around 11:30am, I did indeed get my gift basket. It was filled with all sorts of candy, two bags of Wise $1 chips, a package of TastyKake snowballs, 5 different kinds of nuts, and onion dip. I was surprised because I don't eat much of what was in the basket but I called my friend to thank her. First words out of her mouth were: What kind of Milano cookies did you get? Hmmmm, I didn't get any Milano cookies (which were pictured in the basket). I'm fact, I didn't get any cookies at all. She asked me about the cheese. Nope. None of that either. Thinking there was a mix up, I called Field Flowers and asked about the basket I received. I was told they substitute as they are fit. Hmmm, ok. When I asked her why there were no Milano cookies (which are my favorites and the entire reason for my friend ordering that basket), I was told that living in a small town, you can't always find them. Well, I live in that same small town and there are TWO grocery stores that carry them!! You can't tell me they were both out of them. I also mentioned there were 5 different kinds of nuts and in this age of nut allergies, that seemed kind of odd. The response I got was they weren't told there was a nut allergy. Well, the basket my friend thought she was ordering didn't show any nuts to begin with, so why would she think she needed to mention it!! Field Flowers doesn't think that the fault was theirs for putting in all those nuts (again, not name brand ones either). The bottom line is, most of the stuff in the basket was an off brand name for the chocolate covered pretzels, the chocolate covered raisins, the chocolate pistachio bar, and so on, that I cannot eat. It was DEFINITELY not worth the money my friend spent. And not at all what she was thinking I would receive. While they do some nice work with flowers, I won't recommend them based on their lack of trying to make an unhappy customer satisfied. EDIT: I received an email from them asking to leave a review on their page. And I did. Told them I was disappointed with what was pictured and what I received and that nothing was done to help rectify the situation. It was deleted. I wrote a second review, again saying I was disappointed and their reply was: Did that make you feel better? I then mentioned that's what Yelp and Tripadvisor are for. They told me to Grow up! If this is their customer service, they seemed to have missed a few classes in how to treat people, especially those who are paying for their service! Rude and classless!! NEVER AGAIN!
