My primary concern, repeatedly ignored for four months, was the pervasive mold and mildew in the bathroom of a property I was about to rent from them. Despite multiple requests before move-in, including direct communication from the homeowner ("SM"), Cathy Olson refused to address the issue. Upon moving in, I escalated my concerns through numerous phone calls, portal requests, emails, and further requests from the homeowner--all met with complete silence. It wasn't until I formally served a "Repair or Terminate" notice that Cathy finally submitted a work order. Disturbingly, the handyman informed me they were aware of my repeated requests but were instructed by Cathy to delay the work out of malice. This blatant disregard for tenant health and well-being is simply unacceptable. Throughout my one-year lease, I encountered numerous repairmen and handymen who independently corroborated my negative experiences, detailing Cathy and Addie's poor treatment of tenants and homeowners. This recurring feedback paints a clear picture of a company operating with a consistent lack of professionalism and ethical conduct. Further demonstrating their questionable practices, Cathy attempted to extend my lease by an extra month. This blatant attempt at manipulation was only rectified by Addie Brown, who, without question or hesitation, agreed to rewrite the lease to reflect the originally agreed-upon terms. This immediate concession by Addie speaks volumes and suggests an awareness of Cathy's deceptive actions. The final insult came during move-out. Cathy nitpicked minor details, claiming a kitchen drawer and basement shelf were not cleaned to her satisfaction and threatening to withhold my security deposit. Upon returning to the property, I made no changes whatsoever but informed her I had "taken care of it." Bizarrely, she then deemed the items acceptable and returned my deposit. This ludicrous exchange clearly demonstrates the arbitrary and unreasonable nature of her complaints. In summary, my experience with At Your Service was a nightmare. The company exhibited consistent negligence, spiteful behavior, and a complete disregard for both tenant and homeowner concerns. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to look elsewhere. It is crucial to remember that free legal assistance regarding housing issues, including those involving property management companies like At Your Service, is available through Montana Legal Services Association (MTLSA). I encourage anyone facing similar issues to seek their guidance. Homeowners and renters, beware! At Your Service is a pathetic joke. However while installing a new faucet, he broke a piece of tile around the sink. I let it go as I knew him personally. Now I've moved into a new place and asked him to give me an estimate on our Bosch Instant hot water heater.... he described what he could do...and quoted an astronucal price along with what he had to do. He was wrong, as after I spoke with the company directly, I was told NO. I would need a much bigger tank. It would have paid for something that would not work. We ended up removing the system as it was too small and was not enough to handle our size house. We installed a regular hot water heater by someone else and things are perfect now. He also gave me an estimate on fixing a leak, which was not fixed and still has a slight leak, as before. Much more but too much to go into. He overcharged me for parts and time and I addressed this with him and he became VERY nasty. I spoke with his office assistance and she said he'd fix the overcharge but not deal with the overcharge on the time his workers were there. Bottom line now, because of his mistakes and not sending me corrected bills till now, Robert Mack is trying to slander my good name thru his text messages to me and say things about others working in my house that same day. He lies and belittles others. It's a sad situation. I would never consider referring him to anyone. He overcharged by sending his journeyman and an apprentice and having me pay for 2 people, when the job took only one. Threats by a so called professional don't do well when you are doing business. Think twice about using Rober Mack and A and D Plumbing. His work is ok but not the others he employs.
