Ok, where to begin? First off I have gone here before to get my hair cut and the lady, don't…read moreremember name, did a good job. The last time I went, a couple weeks ago, a lady named Rachel Morgon cut my hair and she totally butchered it!!! My hair was long almost to my bottom, and I came in asking for a haircut. I told Rachel to cut about 6 inches off with long layers and what I got was 10 inches with short layers!! She also left one side longer than the other which is very noticeable when left down, you can even tell when I put it up in a ponytail, which is what I will be doing from now on till it grows back. I will not be returning here. It is not worth the risk.

I had an amazing experience here today. Linsey was so much fun to talk to and helpful. I had…read moregraduation photos today at 5pm and we had already made an appointment at Ulta who were needless to say rude and unaccommodating. After already going to another salon that was booked up until 4, we headed down to check out yet another salon when we saw Kemp's. We walked in and were able to start our appointment within 5 minutes of arriving. I showed Linsey a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and she immediately knew what and how to do it. She even took into consideration the weather outside and pinned my hair up for me to later take down, so I would be picture perfect. I personally can say I have never visited a salon when I felt that the person cutting my hair was that friendly and likable. I certainly will not be booking anymore appointments for hairstyling at Ulta. The price was also reasonable, and I would have paid even more for the excellent service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My friend went here and saw Carol. Carol was working on more…read morethan one person at a time which, I understand, is completely normal for a stylist. However, she put chemicals on my friends head and left it so long (while working on the other customer) that she burned her scalp. When my friend brought this to her attention, she got very annoyed and acted very agitated. She ended up discounting the service at the insistence of my friend. However, as my friend started to leave, Carol began making negative comments about my friend's weight. Not that it makes a difference, but my friend is not obese and had recently lost a significant amount of weight. When confronted, she started back-peddling. And this was in front of other customers, coworkers, and I believe the owner. Terrible customer service.

It's a calm environment with chill vibes. Would love if they didn't have Fox News on, though. Yuck!! Edit now that I've talked it over with the group: Their menu was also not very clear with what you'd get and the consistency between it. Also the manicure in our group didn't actually get what she paid for: she signed up for a whole manicure with the hand massage and all and only got her nails done. Don't love that!

One of the issues with nail salons I've experienced is the communication and language barrier…read more Today I went in for a pink and white fill. This is my second visit to this salon. My first visit was great. Today not so much. My first issue was Ymmy burned me twice and took the liberty of using acetone without asking me if that was ok with acetone, I can't use acetone. Then he decided someone else (LAN) needed to finish up. They had a long conversation in Vietnamese and switched. I had no idea what was said. As LAN did my nails she continued a conversation in Vietnamese often laughing while another worker looked at me and smiled. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know when you're being talked about. Ultimately LAN did a great job but my experience through this was VERY uncomfortable. I won't be back! When I get my nails done I NEED to be able to communicate with my technician AND I would very much appreciate that I'm not be talked about.
