Great tourist attraction, especially for the kids. Fascinating history on how bears came to Burn. They clearly were embraced by the town as you see bear art everywhere, & a bear on the town flag. The bears were relocated in the 1800s from a much smaller pit.
Usually, I find zoos depressing, but what saves this pit is the extenuation of the pit to across the path in a more secluded & beautiful area along the river.
5 stars for novelty. read more
