I had such a wonderful experience at Dr. Fellows' office! This was my first visit, and after having a bad experience at another local dentist's office, I had put off making an appointment for a tooth that had been giving me problems for over four years. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Fellows was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I completely trusted her opinion and felt confident that I was in the best hands. She was able to complete my crown the very same day, which was such a relief after putting it off for so long. The entire staff was kind, welcoming, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and comfortable. I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. After just one visit, our whole family has now become patients of Dr. Fellows. She is truly the best, and I'm so thankful I finally found a dentist I can trust! read more

Dr. Do was incredibly understanding and compassionate throughout my visit. She took the time to truly listen to my concerns and made me feel heard, not rushed. She genuinely cared about my treatment and wanted to make sure all of my questions and concerns were fully addressed before moving forward. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to listen gave me confidence that I was receiving the best possible care. I truly appreciate a dentist who treats patients with empathy and respect, and Dr. Do did exactly that. read more

I had an extremely frustrating experience here and would not recommend this office. This place is everything wrong with America. Corporations and private equity that try and squeeze every last dollar out of you by simply adding some new tech. My wife went in expecting a routine visit for a cleaning and a couple of cavities. Instead, we were hit with a bill around $2,000 with multiple charges that were never clearly explained or approved ahead of time. They billed the insurance almost $7k while not showing all the extra "services" they were adding on to our bill. They showed my wife the total but failed to mention all these extra services that drove up the bill! They tried to make her think this was normal for a cleaning and cavities. For example, they billed $88 for "oral hygiene instructions" which is something most dentists include as part of a normal visit, not as a separate charge to our insurance. All they did was told her to floss! There were also additional lab panels and testing added without any real discussion or consent beforehand. The biggest issue is not just the cost, it is the lack of transparency. At no point were we given a clear breakdown before the work was done. We only saw the full charges after the fact. This place is the new mechanic shop where they take advantage of women who might not know any better. Patients deserve to know what they are agreeing to and how much it will cost before being treated. This felt misleading and left us with zero trust in this office. Regardless, $2000 for a cleaning and cavities is absolutely insane. My family and friends have already vowed to never return. Enter at your own risk! read more

Up sale, over charge on everything. High pressure sales! You can not come to this office and get anything simple. I was told my insurance didn't cover a bad tooth. Was going to be 3k, for root canal and crown. Decided to do extraction for $75. Later, had same problem on different tooth. Decided I'd have to pay the 3k. Only to find out that my insurance covers 90% of it! Now I have a missing tooth, that I gladly would have paid $300 to keep. I've been here 3 times. I've been over chartered every time. Back today because tge crown i got less than 2 years ago broke in half. How much you bet they want to charge me $$$$? Go any where else. Do yourself a favor. read more

Cartier did my deep clean. She was thorough and professional, as well as kind and considerate. I will return to her in the future and I highly recommend her. read more

Absolutely dishonest. I went in for a cleaning and was told I had a $10 copay. They gave me a cancer screening and when I called back and said I had no copay they said it was cancer screening which I did not request. They always give you care that you didn't ask for and then charge you extra. Crooks. Not the first time either. They told me we already did the screening so it's not like we can give you your money back. So unprofessional and don't care they do it to everyone. Read the reviews. read more

Always trying to upsell you on something not covered by insurance. I have yet to go there and not get a sales pitch about something. Then, I go get a second opinion from another dentist and they tell me that what they were recommending was not necessary. read more

Had an excellent experience with Dr. Pollock and Kardea Owens. I left with my teeth looking better than they had in many years. Over the years I've ground by back teeth down, and Dr. Pollock was the first dentist to fit me with a mouth guard to stop the problem from getting worse. He was very friendly, professional, and competent. Dr. Pollock also pointed out a large amount of plaque build up near my gums that I could not remove with a brush. I was getting self conscious about it and was worried it couldn't be fixed. Kardea was my dental hygenist and did a great job cleaning my teeth. She removed the nasty layer of plaque near the base of my teeth. It is completely gone and they look brand new. I also thought that I might be due for a whitening because my teeth had yellowed from coffee and other bad habits. Kardea was able to clean off the staining. My teeth are now pearly and white and I am so happy. All in all, a great experience! Thank you Bear Creek Dental! read more

Bear Creek Dental is one of the worst dental offices I have ever encountered. They do many diagnostic exams, which most are not covered by insurance. My husband and I went in for a general cleaning, and they racked 1200 dollars in diagnostics for me and 1500 for my husband!! To top it all off they did not do a cleaning, because it wasn't covered by our insurance!! We were not told that most of the x-rays taken were not covered by our insurance. They are really ripping off the people coming into the office. The website states that patients are told upfront what is covered and not covered by insurance. That is a lie. No one told us anything until after all of the diagnostics were done, what is covered by our insurance and not covered. There is a banner on the their Yelp ad, stating a cleaning and x rays for $59!! People should be ashamed who work there, ripping people off the way they do. SAVE YOUR MONEY, GO Elsewhere!! read more

Awful experience overall. The dentists are short with you and don't communicate plans to you. I had financing set up and they still tried to charge me a copay. They try to pawn off responsibility by saying their oral surgeon is a separate company, but the guy is just a prick, judgmental, arrogant, unprofessional, accused me of doing drugs, and rushed me through the entire process. Save your money and go somewhere else. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

What an amazing group of people. As someone with bad dental anxiety I finally made an appt and the staff here were so so comforting and so patient with me. I probably made them crazy but they never showed it. Not to mention the work I had done was perfect. No pain, no revisions, it was all seamless. I had Dr pollock and he was so good. I want to mention all the stars by name but there were too many that went above and beyond. Anyway, I highly recommend this office for multiple reasons. read more

As many others have specified, this dental office is not credible. I had the same experience as many others...I have exceptional insurance and have never paid for general cleanings or crowns etc. I was a new patient and went in for a routine cleaning. 3 hrs. later after much badgering and pressure, I paid $500 for numerous unnecessary x-rays I didn't ask for since I told them I had just had them done at my dentist 6 mos. previously. Under the guise of "preventative" measures, my saliva was tested for bacteria...seriously?! Not just one test, but 2! I had to have a "deep" cleaning since I have receding gum lines and bone loss on a few teeth...what?? I have never had that issue and when I called my last dentist, he confirmed that I had none of the issues that were presented to me. Ching ching...more money. I felt disrespected and harassed. Oh and let's not forget the need for 4 cleanings a year as a preventative measure despite all tests coming back clean. Ridiculous to prey on people the way this office does. I left my dentist because he quit taking my insurance...I will find another dentist that isn't greedy and full of deception to upcharge me. Dr. Do should be ashamed of herself for telling me numerous times that she wanted to be "honest" with me as she fed me many lines of "prevention" and "if I don't do x-rays, I cannot diagnose you or treat you". How silly...I knew her info was bogus since if no dentist can treat a patient w/o x-rays on file for a new patient, vs one's I bring in from another dentist, many people would not be seen by a dentist at all due to cost and/or lack of insurance coverage. I have cancelled all appointments since they have manipulation and greed down to a science and I am not up for another battle! read more

This place sucks. The will charge you an arm and a leg. Not explain the break down of what your insurance covers or any other options of treatment that may better suit your finances/ be covered by insurance. They push you to get everything done same day so you don't have time to go over anything with your insurance. I have a PPO and they didn't explain all my options just tried to charge me for the most expensive option. Also when they give you a cost, it's only an estimate on what they think your insurance will cover. It's not authorized by insurance. They don't care about your time or finances. But will try to push that they can give you a discount if you get all treatment done same day. That way you don't have time to reconsider options or speak with your insurance to make sure your treatment plan is covered the way you think it's covered. They wanted to charge me $1900 for a crown and deep cleaning and gave me a 15% discount at a little over $1600 if I did it same day. Didn't tell me that the crown they were charging me for was barely covered by insurance and was the most expensive crown you could get. I agreed to the deep cleaning because the insurance rep told me it would take 10 minutes. She knew I needed to be home for my kids and work by 12pm and me and her talked at 1130am. The deep cleaning took an hour and a half. I didn't get out of the office till 2 pm. Missed a very important work meeting. Also the dentist didn't have her credentials yet and told me that the insurance would send me a check and I would have to bring the check to the office to give to them? Suspicious. The only good thing about this office is the hygienist, Cartier. I would recommend her over and over. She was very patient and concerned about my well being. She knew that I needed to be home and denied requests from her colleagues to finish my cleaning so I could get home to my kids and work. She walked me up to the front to check out and had the front office check me out quickly. I hope she finds a better office to work at because I enjoyed her and would go back to her. read more

Do NOT go here !! Unless you want to be sold a bunch of crap to benefit them in racketeering their side hustle ! All they want to do is sell you this and that and tell you that you need a cleaning every three (yes, 3) months. Very VERY pushy. Not to mention Dr. Pollack is the laziest most inconsiderate dentist there by far. I went in for an emergency appointment as I had been dealing with jaw pain. Just did a quick exam and told me I was fine and acted like I was an inconvenience to him. So unless you want to be scammed and treated like another patient walking through their door, do not even consider calling them. read more

Went in for a cleaning with upgraded PPO insurance, they did an XRay and "exam" First. I was afraid to get dental work done. Dr. Do-Yabut was very caring, considered my situation and did the very best she could to calm me, which she was very successful at. I would recommend this dental practice to my friends and family. All employees are pleasant, courteous, and helpful. I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist. Bear Creek quoted me over $12,000 in dental work trying to take advantage of me being in pain in early 2022. I got a second opinion from a different location and it cost me $3,000, I have been pain free and no issues for 2 years now by going elsewhere. I have been coming here since 2020! I moved to the area from OC. I have been to this office about five times now. The front desk staff and Bri are professional and so lovely. Dr. Pollock and his assistants made me feel very comfortable and relaxed from the start. They always ask questions to ensure I feel great during my check-up and cleaning. I chipped my tooth on peanuts and went to a nearby dentist down in OC, and they didn't do a good job, and Dr.Pollock fixed the "fixed" chipped tooth and gave me my smile back. read more

Just pick another! After eight years we finally learned. Whole family dental care and two kids with orthodontia history at Bear Creek. Finally switched dentists and we walked out without deep cleanings and issues requiring up charges. Our teeth actually feel cleaner! Our 20 year old daughter also changed dentists with us and her new hygienist asked if she could remove the glue remaining on her front teeth from her braces that was left and ignored from 6 YEARS AGO!!! The last time she had a cleaning at Bear Creek she went by herself at 18 and they presented her with a $2000 bill wanting to diagnose bone loss with a salvia test among other issues. She's 18 with great teeth Insurance did review her X-rays and claim and laughed. It was an ordeal. Can't blame the glue or up charging on one dentist/ortho though being that both kids saw probably 4 orthos and 5 different dentists while there. Slow learners. It was nice for the four of us to walk out with clean teeth (no deep cleans) with no penny owed! read more

I recently had a bridge put in for $10,000. I was on a lot of pain and feel I might have been up charged severely because of my emergency situation. I'm going to call around and see if this is a good price. They do try and add on extra costs at most visits. For a cleaning it can be longer than two hours and some of their employees are right out of school with little talent for their job title. read more

Well....It sure pains me to have to write this review but here we are. My daughter is 19 and we have been taking her here since she was 4 years old. Well, the other day she has an appt. for a cleaning and of course she has cavity, needs a root canel, needs a special cleaning because she has gingivitis and so on. The paper they gave us for the work she needed done was 2 1/2 pages and after insurance the cost was $2,000. My wife freaked out and told them everytime we come here it's thousands of dollars and didn't agree with the cost. Told them were getting a second opinion. Today on 7-22-22 we go for the second opinion and guess what? Doesn't need a root canel, doesn't have gingivitis and they don't even do a special cleaning that Bear Creek Dental said she had to have. They also tell us the work that has been done on her teeth hasn't been great. After insurance the cost came out to $375.00. Yes, she had a small cavity that they will fill, and they are going to fix the gap that was left with the last few fills she got from Bear Creek Dental. Here's my question.....How many times have we been charged for things that were not needed? What a joke of a business. I am so disappointed and after reading these other complaints for the same thing I think a class action lawsuit might be warranted. Please contact me if interested. By the way.....the new dentist we took her to was highly recommended by ALOT of people. Do not go here.....BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

Going to this place is like going to a used car dealership. They will try to upsell you on everything and tell you that you need things done that you don't need! If you do go here, just get a second opinion if they try to say you need work done. I made the mistake of assuming a dentist is in it to help people out, these people are just money hungry and they don't care about patients. Not only are they money hungry, the women in the front office are rude and have an attitude. Go elsewhere if you can! read more

Awe man I hate bad reviews but this place. Listen to what everyone says. I went in for a cleaning and haven't had one since covid. They put my age in wrong in the system and luckily I saw the screen and told them, and the hygienist didn't know how to fix it. The dentist comes in and is very concerned with my gums, orders a saliva test etc. I tell him hey does the fact that I'm 10 years older make a difference, and he says actually yes, your gums look way more normal for your age now, he has no concerns, but still does a deep cleaning and this laser treatment for bacteria. Fine, whatever. I haven't had a cleaning in a while, get in there and get it. No cavities. No issues with my actual teeth at all. Never have in my life. Fast forward to today, the periodontist consult I had because they had my age wrong, was just supposed to give me my saliva results and check my healing. First she called me by the wrong name, which I was like okay, yet another red flag but okay. Today, I had multiple puss pockets and infections according to her (that I did not have at my first check up OR my cleaning), have periodontal disease that's going to give me a heart attack, bone decay that's apparently going to kill me if I don't fix it RIGHT NOW. I asked her where all of this was at the first appointments and she said "the dentist probably missed it, he doesn't do this" but she very clearly showed me with a mirror. Then as she was showing me how "deep" my pockets are I felt her literally puncture my gums and go deeper, and my gums have been sore ever since. I asked her how after a full deep cleaning and bacterial laser treatment my teeth were now significantly worse, and there was ZERO issue in my front teeth and now I need surgery on them, in the span of a month, and she said "I probably poke deeper". Ya think, ya think ya do lady, ya think maybe you're going TOO deep and looking for an issue? Like it shouldn't feel like I'm getting a shot checking my gums, yet here we were: I told her no to all procedures because none of this was an issue, I was just here for the saliva test and they had no idea what I was even talking about! Another flag. Then they give me the results, she again goes over in very great detail how this bacteria is going to kill me, and I asked her what the black lines on the graph with the bacteria are, and those lines are the threshold for where the bacteria is an actual problem, all of mine were below. In DETAIL about me dying of cancer from plaque, but let's leave off my ACTUAL results. My gums ARE sensitive, they always have been, the deep cleaning was necessary, but all this extra stuff, no. Definitely getting a second opinion, when the trauma of her stabbing me today is healed, and will update my review. Because now I need to know why I all of a sudden have pus pockets, AFTER a deep cleaning. read more
