Did they not keep up so that it would stay nice all year like it used to? It did have a pool and then they had the hot Springs Divided by how hot they were and yes, it had a sulfur smell because they're hot spring real hot springs! I remember some being so hot they were too hot as a kiddo. Why is that unavailable in the winner now? I learned how to swim in that pool well partially and my Bear Lake. This was before it became the tourist trap. It's changed. I mean from when I was a girl to to now what a different world. I can't believe they're allowing some of it! Bear Lake was known for its beautiful blue pristine crystal clear water's the Caribbean of the Rocky Mountains, now it's green! When I was young, you couldn't drive down onto the beach, you couldn't because the water was too deep. Hence why the old pavilions are up so high. I could see from my neck down to my feet. It was so clear and clean. It does dip to an angle and that dip goes yearly, towards the east side. It is always deeper on the east shore. 2023 there were some bugs that I was annoyed by and had never seen before! They didn't clear when I got the sea-doo further out on the water. I thought they would, but too many flying black tiny flies and algae blooms! Never seen before! They said it would clear up. The Airbnb folk with their septic systems are supposed to legally have them done, but some of them were dumping them in the lake. Gross! Illegal as well! Growths is good but destroying it is not ok! I remember everything being so pristine and so clean and so beautiful! Including this hot Springs building that I haven't been into for a long time. The lake has a natural ecosystem that works great before people started messing with it. The hot springs were awesome. We went there in the winter, not the summer for the Hot Springs. Who wants to go in Hot Springs when it's hot? I know Bear Lake back then in the summer wasn't as hot as it is now because of climate change, but still they're nicer in the winter. The one that they're showing outside makes no sense doesn't even look hot. I remember the smell of sulfur, true Hot Springs smell like sulfur when they're enclosed or sometimes when they're even open. The building has no hours and is only showing summer stuff. How many snowmobilers go up there how many people go there in the winter quite a few I do it every year in the winter. I prefer the winter over the summer now.

The last time was…read moreseveral weeks ago in July 2021, and sadly we were really disappointed by the lack of upkeep this time. The previous owner was wonderful, but the property was purchased by a management company and they didn't seem to care about issues that we had--maybe because our reservation was made before their purchase? When we arrived several toilets and sinks were clogged, one ceiling fan upstairs didn't work, and there were bat droppings all over the porch and the outdoor furniture. The sprinklers in the playground lawn were left on for several hours each morning so that area was always a mud pit, and a broken log porch swing was just left on the lawn. A company representative seemed sympathetic on phone calls (the 1st and 2nd nights of our stay), but the only thing that was ever addressed was when a plumber came (on the 3rd evening during dinner) and fixed some of the plumbing problems, then never came back to finish. We swept up the bat droppings ourselves and disinfected the chairs. The rep never checked back to see if any problems were resolved. After we sent an email we were told that the company will be renovating the property, so maybe then they will take better care of it, but I'm afraid the personal touch is gone.

Also note that if you don't stay the three night minimum you pay an additional $35 cleaning fee. For what I'm not sure because you do your own cleaning. After a few emails we did get 80 percent of our money refunded but buyer beware, you will have to put up a fight for it. Condo 217 is beautiful on the website photos but the photos don't tell the real story here.

I thought it was a long shot on such short notice, but just that quick they called Kyle and he had us on an hour long trail ride through the most gorgeous country! Kyle was so great showing us all about the horses and then their beautiful property. We rode Joe and Pat. We saw deer and their fawns amid the sage brush and wild flowers. So gorgeous and so fun! Oh! And then we stopped in and got a pint of gourmet ice cream from a little self serve honor system freezer they have set up. Could not have been a nicer way to spend half a day.

We had a group of 83 people and filled every single room, yet the house never felt cramped. There was more than enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably, hang out, and enjoy different activities at the same time. Everything was spotless when we arrived. The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, gym, movie theater, and pool area were all extremely clean and felt almost brand new. You can tell the property is very well maintained and professionally managed. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking for a large group easy, and all the amenities worked perfectly. The views were absolutely incredible -- waking up to the scenery around Bear Lake was one of the highlights of the trip. It really made the whole experience feel special and peaceful. The management team was also fantastic. They were responsive, friendly, and always available whenever we had questions or needed anything. That level of support made planning and hosting such a big group stress-free. Overall, this place was perfect for a large group retreat, family reunion, or event.
