I offered him half ($2650.00). he said he needed more than half. I felt I could trust him so I gave him $4000.00 cash. WHAT AN IDIOT I WAS! He never showed back up to continue working to finish the job. Every day was a new excuse, the equipment was broke, my back hurts... I  repeatedly called, texted, messaged. he finally hid behind his wife(Heidi Christian)and made her call me back with more excuses. After getting scammed by this person I read more reviews and found I'm not the only one (not a big consolation). Do your homework before hiring a person that is no stranger to the court system(wisconsin CCAP has alot of information on this person). I'm out the $$. frustrated and pissed off. He came out right away and got us started, clearing everything out. Nicest person in person. We felt we could trust him and paid him IN ADVANCE for 6" of gravel and the remaining work left to be completed. He said he would have it completed within weeks last October 2024. Then he "couldn't get to it due to rain" or "my equipment is broken and I gotta wait for parts". He promised to have it completed in Spring..... that fell through even after he doubled down that it would be done. All summer, promises made and they are all LIES! Even his wife later reached out to me saying he got hurt. I have been so patient, calm and understanding in every way. But after that, I started doing more to hold him accountable by sending a screenshot of 10-Day weather outlook showing no rain, which he again promised to get it done.... since then not one text answered or phone call picked up, and he has blocked my phone number. Last winter I was up there to burn piles and the locals told us "Good luck getting Vince to complete your project..." We feel so foolish for thinking we could actually trust him. Now it will be small claims court. Lastly he claimed to have put some gravel in on the first 50' of the drive way. We went up there, took pictures of mud and ruts and I sent those pictures to him asking "what's going on, where's the gravel?". He gas lit us saying IT WAS THERE! Yet not one piece of gravel!!! Such crap, so much BS!
