I moved to Mississippi 2 years ago. In November of my first…read moreyear here, I went to Michael's to replenish my papercraft supplies that I wasn't able to bring with me. I was HIGHLY disappointed in their inventory. In Ohio, where I am from, the papercraft section is about 6 Isles of paper, stamps, stickers, pens, etc. The ones in Mississippi? Two. I asked an employee and was told that people here don't do scrapbooking or card making so they don't carry the stock. Needless to say, I was sad. These companies wonder why their sales are so low. You are literally forcing consumers to shop online. I don't want to shop online. When I want a product, I want it now. Not in 5-7 business days But where else am I going to get my supplies?

I took a vintage movie poster in to be framed. When I picked it up, I was told that the bunching of…read morethe poster on the right side was unavoidable because the poster was folded when I brought it in. Once I got home, I did not think that was accurate; therefore, I took it to a frame shop. The person there took the poster out of the frame and showed me that the poster had been placed on cardboard by Michaels and taped down using double-sided tape. When the Michaels person did that, he or she did not smooth out the poster, which caused the bunching. In other words, Michaels ruined a vintage movie poster. There is no way to salvage it. I am confident that the person at MIchaels knew they ruined it and tried to blame it on the poster itself. I paid Michaels $395 to frame the poster and paid $80 on Ebay for the poster itself. Thanks to MIchaels, all of it is now garbage.

I've been here twice (once for a work party and another time for personal) and really enjoy going!…read moreThe owner is very friendly and remembers you as well as your artpiece when you come back to pick it up. There are many shapes to choose from and all colors of glass. She plays top-40 music and is there for assistance if you need her. Great for all age groups! I'll continue to go back to make mosaic gifts for friends and family.

I loved this store!!! Picked a simple (I thought) project and we spent two afternoons there. Lisa…read moreis a riot and Wanda is so sweet. I was visiting from California and didn't finish my W, I made a comment about my sister finishing and Wanda offered, at no charge. I thought that was so nice. They have SO much glass and so many different pieces to work on. You can bring your own project as well and I think they just charge a flat fee, but double check. Wanda drew a face on my 7 year old niece's kitty and She let my sister take home some glass so she could work on one of her projects at home. You might balk at the price initially, but they're so gracious about helping that it more than makes it worth it. My suggestion is that you really look around the room at some completed projects to get an idea of what you want your art piece to look like, unless you already know. I wish I had done that so mine would look like I'd at least had a vision!! Also, give yourself two or three times the amount of time you think you'll need, it can be painstaking and tedious (but SO worth it) and you don't want to rush. I really enjoyed my time with the ladies in there and my sister, niece and daughter. I'm looking forward to my next visit!
