It is a lovely and welcoming place and the residents are happy and engaged in friendships and activities. My mother loved her meals, especially the daily homemade soups and pastries. We are so grateful for the director of nursing that not only helped my mother but helped me navigate this time in my mother's life. Care was exceptional. Staff was kind and thoughtful. Loved the facility and activities that were offered. It felt like a second family from the executive direction on down. I highly recommend Spring Gardens of Lindon.

My parents lived in assisted living at Spring Gardens for just five months. My initial impression…read morewas that it was a beautiful, clean, friendly place with caring, dedicated staff. The receptionists quickly learned my name and always greeted me warmly when I came. The kitchen and cleaning staffs were amazing - always cheerful and kind to the residents and their guests The c.n.a.s and med. techs were attentive and patient with my aging parents. There were many fun activities and outings, and the food was usually quite good. (I especially enjoyed the salad bar.) I appreciated that meals were available from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m - very accommodating. I was also very impressed with the various entertainment, especially during the Christmas holiday. Mom thoroughly enjoyed the Valentines dance in February! Beyond all of that, the thing I loved most at Spring Gardens was the wonderful residents who warmly welcomed my parents and took the time to get to know them and befriend them! As the weeks went on and my parents began to settle in, I started to notice some areas which had room for improvement. Services we had signed up and paid for were not always being done, and/or my parents would be charged for services, like laundry, that we did not sign up for. There was also a LOT of pressure from administrators to change my parents' primary caregivers to the in-house medical staff. Though convenient, it quickly became an obvious conflict of interest. Another concern was the staff's lack of training on "redirecting" residents with dementia. (Mom has Alzheimer's.) One staff member told me that when there was training offered, very few staff attended. (Why wasn't such training mandatory?) When it came time to move Mom to memory care, my family spent several hours, on different days, in the Spring Gardens memory care unit observing the way the residents were cared for. I found the atmosphere very different from assisted living. Of course a great deal of that had to do with the diminished cognitive abilities of the sweet residents there, but even more so was the stark difference in lighting, furnishings, layout, and activities. There was minimal natural light and the common area was small and cramped. Residents were almost always found sitting in front of a t.v. Rarely did we see them engaged in activities. The unit always felt understaffed and lacking. The bottom line. If your loved one does not have dementia, then Spring Gardens is a lovely place to live, though not perfect. However, if your loved one needs, or will soon need, the additional attention of memory care, I suggest looking elsewhere.

I have been a patient at Heritage care center in American Fork on three different occasions. Yes,…read morethe building is older but it's the people running it and working there that make the difference. The physical therapy department rates top in my book. Yes they push you, but how else are you going to get back to good health. The food served is great plus they give you alternate choices if you don't care for what they are serving that meal. Who does that? It's like a small restaurant. The rooms are cleaned daily so there are no funny smells. They have single and double rooms. Everyone has their own tv and remote. They have daily activities, church services on Sunday, family home evening, a beauty salon to keep us feeling our best. They can take you to your doctor's appointment too. If I were to go back to rehab from a fall or to get well ............ there's no question in my mind where I would select, Heritage Care Center in American Fork.

To be honest I read the reviews here and there. But I dont believe half the reviews. I went there…read morefor wound care was there 2 months. Do they care yes of course. Rooms are ok but could use some color like paintings on wall feel like home. All the staff was awesome. Loved the aides and nurses but they were under staffed a lot . Alot was put on the shoulders of the workers that were there. and Didnt care for some of the things I heard and seen. I food their was good but had few issues but overall great food. I may post a youtube later. I was treated with respect from day one. I always believed you give respect you get respect. I didnt wanna be in a nursing home especially after what happen with my mom at woodland park in slc.. Would I recommend Heritage Yes! (shout out to Mike,Brittney, and everyone else that help me) again Comes down to a leap of faith give them a shot.

Heritage Care Center - This is how the Heritage fed my sister so they didn't have to stay in the room and bother helping her! Because they do not have enough help!
