I wanted someone to work with my brother who lives in a skilled nursing facility nearby; she has been seeing him there regularly for several years now. Over this time I have come to appreciate the value to someone who is older or infirm to be touched in a therapeutic way. It's not easy to know where, what kind and how much massage a body in pain needs to feel better and, even more important, cared for. I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.

I tried soft wave therapy before with little to no improvement in my range of motion. I'm currently in physical therapy, which has helped, but I was advised to add massage therapy to really loosen things up. I first tried a place in McKinney--it was okay--but nothing compared to my experience at Majestic Thai Massage. I had a session with the owner (I wish I remembered her name), and from the start, she understood exactly what my body needed. I'm not going to sugarcoat it--this type of massage can be intense and even painful at times. There were definitely moments I said "ouch," but it was a good kind of pain--the kind that you know is actually doing something. And the results? After just one session, I was able to move my shoulder more than I have in months. I honestly couldn't believe the difference. I left feeling lighter, looser, and hopeful again. I'm now planning to continue massage therapy alongside my physical therapy because I truly believe this combination is what's going to finally get me past this frozen shoulder. If you're dealing with pain, stiffness, or frozen shoulder, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It's not the most comfortable experience--but it's absolutely worth it.
