This Lutheran church has been serving the North Palm Beach community since 1958. It was formed in…read moreJanuary, 1958 when a group of thirty people from Redeemer Lutheran Church, West Palm Beach, were led to establish a mission congregation in northern Palm Beach County. The first services were conducted by Rev. Walter Schoech at Vogel's Funeral Chapel in Riviera Beach. In September of 1958, $33,000 was raised to purchase the property at the corner of Ebbtide and U.S. 1. The church's constitution and charter was signed by 54 members on On Sunday, December 7, 1958. The first fellowship hall was dedicated in in 1961 and a larger sanctuary in 1974. The church offers religious services, adult day care, a Lutheran children's school, bible classes, choir practice, and a food pantry. I was not there to partake of any of the religious offerings however. Three times a year the church holds a rummage sale to raise funds for community outreach and missions programs. I love a church rummage sale! They offer thousands of items at low prices. Clothes price range from $1 to $3. The entire stage filled with holiday decorations was where I ended up purchasing a Halloween wreath for a $1 to decorate my classroom. Other items offered included housewares, furniture, linens, jewelry, electronics, sporting goods, toys, gardening items, and books. I ended up leaving with a plant holder, lamp, and some home decor items. Also offered inexpensively at the sale is food like hamburgers and hot dogs. There is a bake sale on Sunday. I had so much fun searching for treasures and the volunteers working the sale could not have been nicer. The next sale is February 14 and 15, 2020. Can't wait!

I've been attending PBCC for a few years now and figured it was time to write a review. So, here…read moreit goes... PBCC is a nontraditional church held in a performing arts theatre. The opening band is phenomenal - rock star quality with humble performers that have no idea how good they are. Actually, I don't even think they care how good they are as long as God is glorified in a very real, practical, and relevant way. The pastors seem authentic but not stuffy and bring a lot of the Bible into their messages. Once they start talking, it's so casual and practical that you feel like you're sitting in their living room. The use of media in the services provides a lot of humor too. The whole experience makes you want to come back next Sunday. It's a very friendly church, but not overly pushy. I like saying hi to the pastors and the band members in the lobby at the end of each service. It's cool to meet everyone and get to know them. They also have a lot of groups that meet during the week, so I've been able to meet a great group of friends. Lastly, there's always some community outreach going on, which I like. They even have a garden where they grow their own produce. Fresh idea for a fresh church! I like the culture there. If you're looking for a church in Palm Beach Gardens that's relaxed and comfortable that teaches the Bible in a real and relevant way, appreciates the arts, reaches out to the community, and guarantees an amazing worship experience, I totally recommend checking this church out.
