The instructors are very cool and very kind they really want you to learn. I spent 20 plus years doing standing arts I have very limited ground game as of March 2017 in 4 months on and off I have learned and am growing not only as a practitioner but as a person at 28 every time I leave there I feel better for it. This is a true challenge and anyone of any age can grow from it, as a former tkd instructor for kids I recommend this place for kids it's a great place to raise great people and will humble any teens that need to chill out a bit and give them proper guidance. The owner is a great man and is very personable you won't find that around a lot The senior instructors are great Doug will have you moving and takes the time to really show you what your missing and answer your questions. mark is very hands on and will guide you mark also seems to be very personable which is a huge plus. In mylife most instructors including myself at times can be neglectful due to a number of reasons (not here) so 5 stars to both of them for staying with the newbies and working with them and pushing them to improve. Brian is very knowledgeable and keeps it fun and takes time to answer questions after class and genuinely cares about what he teaches he has a passion for this. Sean- sorry if this isn't the right spelling, to many Irish I know!! is also a great instructor focuses solid basics and a few more advanced stuff and keeps it fun genuine person and there to help you improve. In conclusion, this is where you want to be if you wish to make friends, learn jujitsu, and grow as a person! This has been a rebirth for me as a martial artist. Thank you relson Gracie jujitsu for being there!

Lots of cardio and lunges and you won't even notice you are working out. It relieves stress. Nothing like stabbing people after a long day at work. Meet cool people. Nothing like hanging out with a group of people that are at once smart and silly. No one takes themselves too seriously so this is the kind of place you can come fence and not have to feel like you have to be perfect. And if you get into a side conversation about whether a ninja or a jedi would win in a sword fight, well that's just a side benefit. It's FUN! But don't take my word for it. The place itself is very clean. Shoes off at the door and for students, shoes and socks off for instruction. My oldest son is Autistic and ADHD. He could no longer participate in soccer because they wanted him to move up into a higher age group despite his small size and lack of skills. So, I asked him what sport he'd like to try next. After careful consideration, he said, "MOM! I want to study martial arts." So began the search for an instructor who would be willing to take his Autism and ADHD into account when instructing him. This was not an easy task, but after taking a friend's recommendation, we ended up here, at Marcum's Martial Arts Academy and we haven't looked back! We reviewed their website and went in to office to discuss our son, his needs and what we could do to make learning a good experience. Mr. Bill Marcum was SO WONDERFUL! Both he and his wife have degrees in education and they have worked with special needs kids before. They are more relaxed than most studios we have talked to and they have, so far, been very patient in my son's instruction and learning speed. They have helped hubby and me with special terminology so we could help our son, and all the instructors have been wonderful in every way. When it came to price, I can't complain either. They were the cheapest of all the places we interviewed. I highly recommend this place!

It would be a heartbreak to not at least see the school and speak to the instructor yourself and see if the school is a right fit for you. They teach a various amount of styles but the style I love to learn most is Shuai Chiao and Tai Chi. Shuai Chiao is the oldest kungfu style in the book and mostly focuses on controlling the opponent and taking them down in an orderly fashion.

They do this in order to squeeze the next class in right at the time that the first class ended. For example, if a class starts at 1:30 and goes till 2:00, they will cut it off at 1:27 or 1:26 in order to get the 2 o'clock class in on time. Considering it is $160 for mini 3 lessons, it's about two dollars per minute. so this place is basically taking six dollars and throwing it in the shredder. Does this make sense? This place is a money mine. They are way overpriced than any other Swim School I have ever seen.
