This B&B is in a great location, right on the seafront. It is clean and well decorated and the first floor rooms at the front of the house are large and have a private balcony. Perfect for sitting outside on a summer's evening, watching the waves with a glass of wine.
It is also a 10 minute walk outside of the town, on a very quiet stretch of the seafront so you don't need to worry about the noise of weekend revellers coming out of seafront bars late at night.
It has changed ownership several times during the past few years, but has always remained an attractive, up-market B&B. Up-market being reflected in their prices - my parents paid £88 per night during their last trip to the UK.
This is also not a B&B where you will get a full fry-up every morning. They have always provided a Continental breakfast in an effort to attract up-market clientele. When my parents last stayed, they were more than a little disappointed by the owners - quite often there was not enough breakfast to go roundand, rather than provide anything else, the guests went without. The owners had no experience of running a B&B, and it showed.
Having said that, if you are looking for somewhere to stay for one or two nights, it will be fine. My parents stayed for 10 days and found the inexperience of the owners a little trying after the first few days. read more
